Our auctions are marketed to the largest bidders and collectors in the industry and realize higher prices than any venue around. We could market and sell your items for much higher prices than on eBay. This seems like an awfully petty way for a self-proclaimed high end auction house to find consignments. Next thing we'll hear is them setting up at flea markets in the hope of catching the next Grandpa's attic find... screwy.gif

It is a full set of ASM, many in slabs, although not much in the way of high grade. It's a nice item to put into their auctions and potentially worth $5000+ in terms of the buyer/seller premium. If the person sending the e-mail get s a piece of that action, I can see why they're doing it. It's not like this was a set of 12 VG/Fine copies of late 60s TOSes or something.

The auction racket is a tough business and you don't get to #1 by playing nice.. I'm sure they've obtained lots in far more unsavory ways than this.

I'm all for capitalism and competition but when a large auction house bent on monopolizing a market goes after a small, trusted, customer-focused non-profit like eBay then I think that goes beyond the pale. sign-rantpost.gif
