Anyone have any "ACE" graded comics, lol??

It is just some "backyard outfit" as you say.

 

It's a guy who was basically funded by a comic store owner in Texas, and he mainly grades the comic store owner's books. I do not believe that he does a restoration check as part of his services, and in the interview he did with STL a few years ago, he didn't really seem to know how to spot restoration.

Use the search function on the boards for ACE

 

I did, the search function on these boards is about as useful as a hole in the head. No matter what you type in (by itself, or with the + signs, or with the "" around it, etc) It brings up the same 800 search results, usually all from the last 2 weeks (even though I search for a year) that have absolutely nothing to do with what you are looking for.

YIKES!! Damn that sucks man!

 

You know what though, I noticed a few on the books for sale on the 'Bay, in the Ace slabs, were shifted just like that in their case as well.

 

I'll steer clear of them. The only thing I was thinking of is, if I could pick these books up, for a ton under guide, and their grading was close....I could crack them out, submit to CGC, and be done with it.

Works fine for me. Try reading the "advanced search" options.

I just bought a SILVER SURFER 4 from this guy.

 

Let's see how he packages it and how the encapsulation works out.

 

Grading??? I just hope he is close or is a slight undergrader.
