Power outage mercy?

Hey all,

 

I won an auction thursday night the 14th for a CGC 9.6 Transformers comic on ebay, my winning bid was $14 and change. Tonight (sunday) I got a letter from the seller asking if he could relist it (or if I would pay more!) because he tried to cancel it but couldn't get on because of the power outage in the east. I agreed to let him relist (just because I'm a nice guy ), but what do you all think of this?

I would've let him off the hook too...not because he couldn't cancel it, but because a lot of potential bidders weren't able to bid, thereby lowering his final cost potential.

I woulg have agreed as you did. I probably wouldn't have been too happy aboutit, but what can you do?
