Safe payment from the UK to US?

I've just bought a page from a guy i am happy is legit (he i a known collector) but he doesn't take paypal. Is there any other way to securely send money over to the states? Any UK collectors been in this position before?

Have you looked in to www.bidpay.com? I've used it a couple of times and it works well I think...

I've always used International Money Orders. My bank charges me £8.00 per I.M.O., but they will replace them if they become (genuinely) lost - and I'm in my 25th year of buying art from the States.

Money order or wire transfer to the bank account (this costs about $20 at my bank)

www.ukforex.co.uk - goes straight into the US bank account. No fees over £3000 and the Exchange rate is only a cent or so below. You do have to set up an account and verify your identity initially, and after that it's a sinch, they are super-helpful too.
