most of the time the best/fav. characterization moments are related with a specific writer, but what about great visual characterization moments?

those panels/splashes or simple shots that truly define what the character is...?!

 

which ones do you prefer/stick on your mind all these years?

Well, this doesn't fit the topic completely, but This centerfold splash pages is truly fascinating, and has stuck with me every time I see it.

 

It is the first published comic art by Walt Kelly, in New Comics #1 1935

Billy the Kid, Sagebrush n' Cactus, Jibby Jones, Needles, The Vikings, Sir Loin of Beef, Now-When I was a Boy, and other 1-2 page strips. I'm sure Bill (Ciorac) has read it. He could fill in the gaps on the other 1-2 page strips.
