I don't think the numbers would have ended up being all that much higher in the end if it had been a great movie.

Hopefully, it hasn't burned any bridges the way that Matrix Reloaded did.

SM3 is still not a very good movie. It's shame because it skews the numbers.

 

That would put it at #28 all time, right behind SW2:AOTC.

good thing for foreign because domestically SM3 isn't going to get close to SM2 let alone SM1. bad word of mouth trumps $125mm in prints and ads.

It may not effect this movie all that much, but it will definitely affect the take on SM4. I think they should take a 3-4 year break before making the next one and make sure it's done right.

when you factor in the dvd/bluray sales it will top $1billion world wide easily

 

with that kind of money at stake, sony won't hang around and spider-man 4 will be under development sooner rather than later.
