Good scanner for comics?

10 posts in this topic

HP Photosmart C3180 All-In-One B&W and Color Scanner, Copier, Printer. This came with my Mac for free (after rebate), but retailed only at $100. What's better is that it is not only a quality item, but it is very compact for an all-in-one set up.

From what I've read, all HP scanners work well for CGC'd comics. I use my HP for CGC'd, and my old Canon for raw (loads faster than the HP software). I know the legal sized MicroTek is the CGCers choice of scanners.

I unfortunately got a Canon scanner and it is terrible for CGC books. Christo_pull_hair.gif

Avoid it. I have to take pictures instead with my camera. So I may pick up an HP when a good opportunity arises.

How much are those legal size Microteks?
