Boom! Studios' Warhammer 40,000: Damnation Crusade

Just curious if there is anyone out there following this mini-series being produced by Boom! Studios? In addition to collecting comics, I also collect and play Games Workshop models (Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000, and the Lord of the Rings tabletop strategy games), so when the first issue came out back in DEC 06, I picked up a copy. Second issue came out back in... February or March, and still waiting for the 3rd issue to surface (how many other titles have had this problem?).

 

Anyhow, just wondering if anyone has even read this, and those that have, what your thoughts are?

I think it is very good; good story and great artwork. Issue #4 came out last week.

The only store that normally stocks this I've sort of boycotted, and have forgotten to ask some of my more regular stores to stock it for me. (I called up to see about a few ASM issues, grades, and prices, and I could hear him *spoon* and moaning on the other side about why people can't just drop in to see- nevermind it's a 30+ minute drive for me). Anyhow, sorry for the mini-rant!-)

 

I guess I'll have to breakdown and swing by there tomorrow and pick up 3 and 4. I've been in touch with Dan Abnett (the writer) as part of a forum I help moderate on, and he's a cool guy. Big fan of comics, and it's cool to see where he's going with this mini-series. I'll save the rest of my commentary to see how these came out.
