Best practices for Registry scans

3 posts in this topic

Hey guys,

I want to re-do the scans for my Registry set. I am wondering what the best settings are, to maximize quality and size within the file size limitations set by the Registry.

I am using Photoshop to make the scans and adjust size. What are the best sizes to use. If anyone has a pre-set group of photoshop settings, please let me know.

Thanks!

Shep

In terms of colors, etc...suite them to your taste....

I have an HP ScanJet but I can e-mail you my settings if they apply to PS.

The bottom line is keeping it under 120kb. I scan in my originals at 80% of the original size and then resize it to roughly 45% of that....150dpi. For some JPG file reducers, the file size can still be large...your mileage may vary from program to program.

Thanks Sterling,

Lemme give those a go with my scanner. If I need the actual PS data, I'll give you a shout.

By the way, your collection is looking KILLER on the Registry. Man.
