If a comic has writting on the back, does that kill the grade?

Yeah, it CAN hurt the grade if the book is a high grade issue. If you're talking about a low-grade book, however, it's to be expected. Based on the size of the marking, if it bleeds through the cover/page, etc, I'll weigh the mark more or less. If we're talking a small pen or pencil mark... I might gig a book around half a point (9.0 becomes an 8.5). That's just me though.
