How is Sub-Mariner #8 reprint different from the original?

18 posts in this topic

it is skinnier than most silver age and you can just look at the price box in the top left and tell that the sahde of blue around mini Subby is a bit too deep...and because the book is skinnier, the spatial ratios of the 2 figures look "off" from the Silver Age copy...

and there is the back cover, so always ask if you can take it out of bag and board..

On the outside of all the moving body parts of the Thing and Subby, they painted on some emphesis lines, about 3 on every part, very noticable when put together! I have both, will try to get some scans up!

Yes, there were about 10 facsimile reprint issues distributed shrinkwrapped by Diamond/Capitol City. Subby 8, FF 51, 67, ASM Ann 5, Young Men 25 (Atlas), Capt Amer 109 origin issue, Tomb Dracula #?, X-men w/ N Adams Sauron cover. All have Noxcema or acne cream ad on back cover.

Yes, but he's completely blameless for those 2 negs, just read his auction description. 27_laughing.gif

He's gotta be constantly getting negatives deleted, as I looked not long ago and he had 5 negs. Now he gets two more and he's still at 5?

Is it true that SquareTrade can remove them for a fee?

Squaretrade has to have compliance from both parties but the initiator of the process (the one who wants the neg removed) bears the brunt of the cost) and btw Squaretrade sucks!!!

Also the negs could be fresh so it takes some time before the feedback rating counter catches up...
