Convention sketches

How does one go about determining the value of convention sketches?

I have a RAS sketch by Byrne that I'm curious about

Any input would be appreciated flowerred.gif

Size? approximate date of sketch?

From the size of the sig it looks like the sketch is small 8x10 or smaller, is that right?

The best way? Put it on ebay for a 10 day auction for 99 cents and no reserve. Everything else would just be guesses, especially since I'm sure there are not alot of Byrne RAS sales to compare it to.

I think the availability of the artist would add to the value too. If they hit every show in the country, it's less valuable. If they rarely attend shows or do sketches, more.

Byrne has always been on my list, but I'm after a Supes, Cap, or FF sketch.

tape it to a fallen son sketch cover and you could get a couple hundred.
