just going to play devil's advocate here... but have you ever submitted anything to CGC yet... there is a lot to look for... if you think it would be a 9.8 without the dent.. check it again.. and check it under a bright light... you'll be surprised what you find that keeps it away from a 9.8

I would suggest buying some low price krappy moderns graded 9.8 and crack them to see the difference.

Just trying to prevent you from "submission shock" when you get that first batch of books and they aren't what you expected....if you intend on submitting....

ive got 4 cgc graded books 2 9.8 and 2 9.8 I put the cover under light to see the cover gloss... the spine is perfect with no colour breaks...the book was never read...
