  1. Probably 'art' from DC Famous First Edition (ffe) Action #1 or Superman #1 reprinting Action 1 pages. I still own the artboard to cover of FFE Superman 1, Whiz #2 (1) front cover and All-Star 3(?) front and back cover artboards in my storage.
  2. I would be very interested in the Richie Rich sell through #s in the early to mid-1970s compared to 'mighty' Marvel.
  3. Annual Kelowna ComiCon family fun at same 2 rink Centre as 2 years ago but with new name MNP Place. Wide selection of comic book back issues, pop culture mags, CGC slabs, toys, sports cards, gaming and cosplay contest. Sunday adult admission is $30, kids under 12 enter free, plus free parking. Saturday admission $35. My team will have 2 dealer wall tables next to the front entry doors. Guest info and map at http://www.kelownacomicon.com .
  4. Anyone have a complete coverless Holyoke 'Capt. Aero Comics' #11 sometimes known as volume 3 #9 for sale? Can PayPal or trade other coverless gold parts, if u prefer.
  5. My LCS allowed 2 free comics. Got 'Fabulous Freak Bros.' underground reprinting some hilarious and political stories along with "Fat Freddy's Cat" story, thus 8/10. Also picked up cartoony 'Star Wars' that had a nice summary of the various comic titles and difference btwn the generations of timelines on the inside cover so 6/10. No need for me to pick up 'History of Overstreet' as most of that was a reprint of FCBD comic a few years ago.
  6. Last time Todd McFarlane was at Calgary Expo, I remember kids lining up for 4.5 hours to get their parent's comics signed in the Big 4 Building. Even at the small Fan Expo Vancouver (FEV), folks lined up 3.5 hours waiting for McFarlane.
  7. So the vibe of the show was crowded, busy and the Bank of greggy was open for buying? Pics please.
  8. Also the Dept. # seems to be missing or blanked out from the inside of back cover ad, thus a FFE reprint of Superman 1.
  9. fyi, the original Chinese 30 episode version of '3-body Problem' is being broadcast as a TV marathon Sat. April 20, 2024 from PBS in Seattle, WA. English sub-titles.
  10. fyi, 'Dave Stevens: Drawn to Perfection' documentary (2022) can be streamed for free from Tubi. 1 hr 38 minutes, Stevens born in 1955, Dave Mandel, Russ Manning, Brinke at SDCC, and more.
  11. fyi, Grosnor-CGC did not show up for the 2.5 day Western Sports and Collectibles Show in the suburbs of Vancouver, BC for the weekend of April 14, 2024. Guess Grosnor picked up enough comics and VHS submissions at last week's huge Vancouver Comic and Toy Show's 2 day pop culture event.
  12. A Youtube video has been posted about this huge PNE Show with toy/comic footage from both Sat. and Sun. of this pop culture event. My tall white comic wall rack appears briefly within the first minute:
