My Prescreen Experience Pt. 3 (Return of the Category)

the process becomes clearer

Don't mean to circumvent FEDERICO's great journals that were just posted so check those out, great reads!

At last check 2 of the 3 pre-screen invoices I submitted were in "scheduled for grading" status and of those 2 invoices 75% had a category leading me to believe they'd passed the pre-screen.

It was since pointed out to me by another very helpful fellow CS member that sometimes the non-category books do come back...it's the 1% chance, but they aren't being totally done being considered I suppose is the improtant part.

But what I've really learned is that it would appear that CGC updates their daily work at the end of the day in some batch process. Because last night the third invoice showed "Scheduled for Grading" and I was one book under 50% passing the pre-screen according the the whole theory that if the category is present it passed and if it isn't then it didn't pass. But then when I checked the other two invoices that showed 75% with the Category they were now up to almost 90% with Catogory populated/passing (yeah!). So that leads me to believe that they were midway through the other invoices and hopefully tonight I'll find they were midway through the third invoice and it will show more with the Category populated.

Further evidence, though keep in mind it's all conjecture, is that I did notice from the other invoices and with the third one that the books without a Category somewhat grouped and don't appear to be randomly speckled throught the invoice.

So far this has been a fun and fascinating process and I'm nowhere near the results yet but it sure is fun and exciting to be on the cusp of getting new slabs from CGC.
