As of March 2010, I have a complete CGC 9.8 run of Captain America #1-50 as well as #600 and #601 - including all printings and variant covers.

Collecting slabs for me started a few years ago, and it was with me submitting a few of my favorite covers from the Ed Brubaker Captain America series. Not only would I eventually upgrade from the books in my first submission, I would actively be on the hunt for NM copies of the series ever since. There are only two 9.6's in my entire set and those are issues unrelated to the main series, one being a Anniversary Special Sketch Variant and the other being an issue of Marvel Spotlight, both books super rare!

I've been very fortunate to have come across signing opportunities, as well as having certain connections, and regularly checking Ebay for possible CGC Captain America slabs for my set.

With my latest submission from CGC, I have finally filled in various unfilled gaps in my set from #37 through to #601. At Wizard World Toronto, I submitted the remaining issues of Reborn for Universal Label grading, so when I eventually get that submission back, I will be even more up to date with my set.

It is my hope that with the return to original numbering that this series will continue to go on strongly with Bucky-Captain America currently at the helm. I imagine Steve Rogers will eventually return to active duty as Captain America when his movie comes out.
