With volume 5 of Captain America in the books as a "contained" volume, this set has every book, printing and variant in the series.
My revised and final set description:
From 2005 to 2011, Captain America has been under the helm of writer Ed Brubaker. During that time, the series has earned numerous awards and truly brought Captain America into the modern era for today's readers. The journey of Captain America during this time is a long and wide spanning story that brought back Bucky, 'kille
With my latest submission back from CGC, I can now proudly say that currently, my Captain America (2005) CGC Registry set is 100% complete with a total of 108 books!
With my latest submission back from CGC, I can now proudly say that currently, my Captain America (2005) CGC Registry set is 100% complete with a total of 108 books!
The last batch of books I needed was to finish off the recent Captain America: Reborn miniseries with all of its variants. I still need to work on upgrading a few t
As of March 2010, I have a complete CGC 9.8 run of Captain America #1-50 as well as #600 and #601 - including all printings and variant covers.
Collecting slabs for me started a few years ago, and it was with me submitting a few of my favorite covers from the Ed Brubaker Captain America series. Not only would I eventually upgrade from the books in my first submission, I would actively be on the hunt for NM copies of the series ever since. There are only two 9.6's in my entire set and those are
Now not only is my set currently at 100% completion, but now I also have grades of 9.8 for every single slot in my registry set!
The last two books I needed were 9.8 copies to regular cover and variant cover to #6 of the series. I was always satisfied with having 9.6 SS copies that were both double signed, but I couldn't resist the opportunity to getting 9.8 copies of those issues since they were available online!
As a result of getting these final books in hand and registering them, now not
With these last two books I now have the most complete current Cap set in the World!
The last two books were graded onsite in Wizard World Chicago, and I just got them in my hands today.
I can't register them just yet because the serial numbers are too fresh, but I had to share the fact that I got these books!

My registry set isn't exactly 100% complete, but it's 97%, and way ahead of anyone else who also has a set registered in the same category.
The journey has been long and tedious, but as of today, I have nearly completed my hunt for NM+/M copies of this outstanding modern series, arguably one of the best comics that's been released on a monthly basis since it started in 2005.
At 97% complete, I actually own numerous books that are currently 1-of-a-kind books on the census. Being a member of t
Seeking those elusive comics for my set
I am in dire need of gradeable copies of particular issues from the current Captain America series.
These tough to find in high grade issues are: #8 (variant), #9, #13 and #21. As the series became increasingly popular, back issues became even more scarce than they were before, making gradeable copies much much harder to find!
I've been all over the city of Toronto looking for the copies that I need with no success so far.
