Captain America Modern Collecting Milestone Achieved!

As of March 2010, I have a complete CGC 9.8 run of Captain America #1-50 as well as #600 and #601 - including all printings and variant covers. Collecting slabs for me started a few years ago, and it was with me submitting a few of my favorite covers from the Ed Brubaker Captain America series. My Captain America Registry Set is now complete!

Now not only is my set currently at 100% completion, but now I also have grades of 9.8 for every single slot in my registry set! The last two books I needed were 9.8 copies to regular cover and variant cover to #6 of the series. I was always satisfied with having 9.6 SS copies that were both double signed, but I couldn't resist the opportunity to getting 9.8 copies of those issues since they were available online! The last few books for my Cap registry set!!

With these last two books I now have the most complete current Cap set in the World! The last two books were graded onsite in Wizard World Chicago, and I just got them in my hands today. I can't register them just yet because the serial numbers are too fresh, but I had to share the fact that I got these books! My Captain America (2005) registry set - nearly 100% complete!

My registry set isn't exactly 100% complete, but it's 97%, and way ahead of anyone else who also has a set registered in the same category. The Search Is Unending

Seeking those elusive comics for my set I am in dire need of gradeable copies of particular issues from the current Captain America series. These tough to find in high grade issues are: #8 (variant), #9, #13 and #21.
