  1. ^^^ That really is a cool cover. They need to stop with these variants tho!!!
  2. Quick question, if my scans come out like below, is there a way to know if this is fixable? I've gone through all of the contrast/brightness i could think of. Is it possible the old 8200 just died? Any help is appreciated!
  3. I received my copies the other day and am quite pleased!!! For the record, the digression among this modern section has become almost intolerable. Some with the loudest voices have deemed themselves the experts around here, and that really is anything but the case.
  4. I have to say Someone wanted Stan Lee's signature but did not want to deface such an awesome book - that's the way forward. +1000. Moving forward on anything 1980 or earlier, this is the only way to go IMO.
  5. This is the ONLY book I disagree with you Jay . Yes it's "rare" but it's still ugly as sin .
  6. I do not believe it was a 3k book in 2004 though, was it? I was thinking $500 in 03', and maybe $700-1000 in 04' from what I recall.
  7. This made me laugh. I remember when they took the jump to $500ish. I purchased my house in 2003, so comics were secondary in my life at the time.
  8. Anyone get the Venom's yet? Isn't it due out this week?
  9. Side note: Is "Romitaman" the agent for him? Guess I'll now go look at what OA is out there for him.
  10. First let me start by stating: Comics nor OA should be "investments". I'm well aware of the board's presence, why else would J.S. Campbell's remarques go for $1000? I never do the "what I collect is great, what you collect is ...." nonsense. But quite honestly, IMO, people are in for a rude surprise if/when they ever go to sell the remarques that they paid $1000 for. He keeps pumping them out at lightning speed. Again it's great for the true collector, but if they think they'll get the $1000 back out of them in 5-10 yrs....well we'll have to see. I'm willing to bet heavily on "No". I'm all for buying OA, I have a rather large collection myself and have only ever sold one item, my Walking Dead Cover because the offer was so big I felt I had to take it. We should be celebrating Gabe's work in these threads, and it's digressing as of late. My point to you was that you seemed negative in tone. I apologize if that was not the case.
  11. Been to cons this year, people in general who don't even know these boards were buying his books. Not sure why the hatred, why bother reading this thread if you're not a fan of his? Carry on.
  12. I was thinking of doing a payment plan, and the book did indeed sell.
  13. Any remarqued copies left, if so please pm me as i do not often check in this section, but i should! Thanks!
  14. Congrats on those Rock!!!! Lmk if you get an extra one!
  15. I bet it'll start to stabilize soon. It went from $800 to about $350 for a 9.8. My guess is it won't go much lower than $300 for a 9.8. It was an insane pump and dump issue that's for sure, but it's still a beautiful piece. Actually, this is inaccurate. More of supply vs. demand in the strictest sense this time around. Book was released, people gobbled it up. I held off thinking they may release more at NYCC, which they ultimately did. Quite the difference though between a pump/dump and this scenario. How much do you want to bet the LaMole Campbell cover comes out at another con? I'm guessing Marvel has boxes of it to unleash at a future con. They released LaMole variants at Megacon last year, they may do it again.
  16. I'll be on the look out for a Pink 9.8, so let me know when they come back. FINALLY can put this one to rest. Been trying to locate a somewhat "reasonable" price for a long time.
  17. The first was brilliant. Liman was the best director of the Bourne franchise, and really is underrated. Glad to see this news.
