  1. I agree. I sold a copy of Wanted 13 but probably would not have purchased another copy without seeing that splash. bb
  2. Lustige Lerchen von Hans und Fritz. Das tut mir leid! And a day late...Thanks for posting those covers. The Kids were a Sunday favorite.
  3. This cover goes with the Perfect Crime and Detective covers and the villian is actually named the Silhouette. But I think a baseball bat would be more effective against GL than a hatchet.
  4. Need coverless copy of Marvel Mystery 36. Need a cover for Captain America 40 and All Winners 13. Need a cover for Captain America 13 (But I changed the scans below to add a little variety). I could also use the cover to Marvel Mystery 30 which had a similar theme. Need covers for Hangman 2 and Jackpot 2, Top-Notch 11 and 12. Need a coverless copy of Pep 33 and 35. Need a coverless copy of Speed 35, All American 52, Punch 10 and Sensation 27. Add Daredevil 27 and Boy 30 to the need covers group and Dynamic 9 and Flash 42, 82 Firestone 1947, Batman 25 and 36 and Mystery in Space 2 to the need coverless copy group. I have two Blue Ribbon issues (13 and 17) that need a cover and one that needs a centerfold. Will trade a Batman 22 centerfold for a Batman 19 or 36 centerfold. I have a Batman 68 with no cover and the last ad page missing for trade and a coverless Batman 22 with the second page missing. I have an extra copy of Batman 40. Also need a cover for Batman 19 but a good scan would do for now.
  5. I like that. Have you photoshopped any images of famous comic characters interacting with each other? Something along the lines of Batman and D ick Tracy teaming up against the Joker and Flattop? I only have this Buzzy and Hangman by Storm.
  6. It makes you wonder....what if Brundage had worked for DC comics?
  7. I thought this was a great cover for a Batman fan. bb
  8. That's for sure! Yeah, there was quite a bidding war there. Is this a key in terms of its content, or just an especially rare / low-distribution issue? Just a tuff book with a nice Baker cover. No Baker contents ( none of the CL's had any). CL's have been really hot for a while now, and if you only need one... I like all of these, and many of the Teen-age Romance issues, just as well.
  9. I like those Jack Farr cartoons. He did a lot of work for DC. Sometimes the lead story isn't very good but there is a nifty Farr out story as a backup. bb From Batman and Blue Beetle... BB scan from GAC.
  10. Here is a different Avon printing of The Moon Pool. Murder Mystery Monthly #18 (1943) This time I found a Murder Mystery Monthly by Merritt. Do you have the paperback and Argosy? bb
  11. Craig did some pretty nice work for Crime SuspenStories. And the lady in the red dress was pretty handy with that shovel.
  12. According to the GCD, Craig did some work for Heroic around issue 50. I have early issues with Everett art and later issues with Frazetta but don't know about the middle stuff. He did a lot of Crime and Horror work for EC. Crime Patrol had some nice work by Feldstein on the inside and Keifer and Larson.
  13. Is that a Johnny Craig cover? I love the stacks of comics. That cover is attributed to Craig too. There is a nice article on him in that issue.
  14. I would have guessed that cover was by Johnny Craig no matter who did it. I was reading this issue of RBCC last weekend. I wanted this scan for another thread but since we are talking about Craig. Hereeee's Johnny!
  15. Thanks BZ and Scrooge. For a fun Zombie movie, I recommend "Shaun of the Dead".
  16. I would have guessed that cover was by Johnny Craig no matter who did it. I was reading this issue of RBCC last weekend.
  17. Hint: This comic is from the Atomic Age. Vault of Horror 29?
  18. Cover is from V2#3 and this is a scan of the interior from GA.UK.
  19. Very nifty covers BZ. I didn't realize that the story was that old.
  20. That is probably my favorite Superman cover. You picked it up in NC? Do they have another? I have a coverless copy and I noticed the interior story does not have a giant robot scene. I have the Sunday page which may be the only place that story appeared. Or was it anywhere else?
  21. Fantastic images, BB. (thumbs u My father had a subscription to Galaxy when I was a kid. I loved the covers. The ones with Santa were always a favorite of mine. I noticed that Mr. Doortree posted a bunch of those color covers at Christmas time. I just found this one and didn't have a scan in my Xmas junk. By the way, my father collected pulps too but they were mostly westerns. He would probably enjoy that big box of Wild West Weekly pulps that I found. bb
  22. I guess most of my doubles are in series 1. I do have a copy of S2-36 for you. And a few more series 1 if you are interested. bb
  23. Finally found some of my Straight Arrow cards. Now I need to figure which cards are doubles and which did Scrooge need. Was that posted on this thread? bb
  24. Found these at Murphy's in Mullica Hill today. Dangerous Frogs from Avon and Relaxing after a long hard Winter Season from Galaxy 1951.
