I could also use the cover to Marvel Mystery 30 which had a similar theme and a cover for Marvel Mystery 24. Need covers for Hangman 2 and Jackpot 2, Top-Notch 11 and 12. Add Daredevil 27 and Boy 30 to the need covers group and Dynamic 9 and Flash 42, 82 Firestone 1947, Batman 25 and 36 and Mystery in Space 2 to the need coverless copy group. I have two Blue Ribbon issues (13 and 17) that need a cover and one that needs a centerfold. Will trade a Batman 22 centerfold for a Batman 19 or 36 centerfold. I have a Batman 68 with no cover and the last ad page missing for trade and a coverless Batman 22 with the second page missing. I have an extra copy of Batman 40. Also need a cover for Batman 19 but a good scan would do for now. Could use a Detective 53 cover like the one below which isn't mine.
  3. A few more recent acquisitions. Got to find the Superman box so I can file these away.
  4. I like the Superman Airplane toy and the rollover tank. I think I had a Superman sweatshirt once but didn't buy the underwear. I recommend the boxer shorts if you ride a motorcycle. bb
  5. I have all of these issues but I think the #68 scan was by someone else. Found a few more issues to scan and I will be back this afternoon with another post.
  6. Here are a few more old scans from Superman 76, 53 and 8.
  7. Even Captain American seems frightened by the damaged spine. But I wouldn't mind owning it. bb (thumbs u
  8. Someone else liked trains. Good point Mr. B. I think Guardineer started it all with this one. Not my copy, is it yours?
  9. I liked this cover and had to pick up a copy. Now I need to find another cover for my coverless copy. bb
  10. But the Batman splash from WF 2 was still intact.
  11. And some of the Superman splash pages are pretty good. I don't think my copy of WF issue 6 has this splash. I got this from somewhere else which is now closed down.
  12. But some of the other interior stories of WF looked pretty good. They aren't Superman stories but they are still nice.
  13. I have these too but they have been in the "A" box with the All Stars for a while.
  14. I haven't picked up anything rare but still have a bunch of new Actions and Sups and World's Finest to look at. That one was photoshopped a bit. Most of the others have just cropped a little.
  15. I agree. Now if I had a little more talent I could probably sell my Faux Ray for $100,000.
  16. This one can fool a lot of new fans. It is the right size and looks good. Just like the Spiderman reprints: sometimes they're too good.
  17. I saw this splash from Detective 79 on ebay and it reminded me of the Phantom Lady 16 splash. Makes you wonder whether Matt was a Batman fan.
  18. And Sonny liked the Lone Ranger. His radio show was broadcast for a long time in the Detroit area. Clayton Moore, from the TV show, toured the country for years after the show's demise and he was as tough as nails.
  19. There were also ads on the back so you would know where to send to for your own Cowboy Carbine.
  20. Fred was a progressive thinker. Sometimes the girl saved Red in the nick of time. Scans from Crackajack comics and are available at GA.UK.
  21. And the ultimate western strip, Red Ryder!!!
  22. I would stick with the golden age westerns but I enjoy reading a TV western from the sixties. The Bobby Benson radio show from the 1940s must have been a bit spooky based on some of the covers of his comic. Billy Halop played Bobby for the radio dramas, without the NYC accent I hope. bb
