  1. I like the Tarzan stories in the early Tip Top issues. But the original Sunday pages are terrific. I think this one is 1-22-33. And the Tarzan covers are pretty neat. But the Lil Abner covers are special too. BB
  2. I think Al Williamson did some similar covers for EC but Frazetta seemed to go the extra mile for everything he did. I don't think they paid him enough per page. His early work for Nedor was pretty good too. bb
  3. And don't forget the extra Buck Rogers cover that ended up in EC. Too violent for Famous Funnies I think was the reason. This reprint of the original art is nice to have too. bb
  4. Since you like Ditko here is an early Ditko splash page from Black Magic V4#3. A lot of dialogue. But nice art too. bb
  5. Those are great books and I wished I owned them. I was just looking for a better scan than the one I have. bb
  6. This isn't a recent purchase but it fits with the season and the theme. I previously posted this other one which I bought last Halloween. bb
  7. I have a copy of this one but this is scan was by someone else. I still like this cover due to the monster in the shadows. bb
  8. BZ, Love the Adventure comics covers with Starman and the later Simon and Kirby issues. Did you collect sci-fi books like the one below? I am always looking for new issues to complete the series. bb
  9. Thanks for the greeting. I will contine posting comics and pulps if there is anyone interested. But is there room for newspaper comics? Or Big Little Books and Big Big Books? bb
  10. Scan of Madam Triple X as requested. Good thing Donald only has three fingers. He woulda lost one. A little more violent than some of Bark's stories. But less violent than a dinosaur stampede. I think your scan of the original art looks just like her but is it one of his later Calgary Eye-Opener girls? He did a lot of harem jokes. bb
  11. I posted this in another thread but it belongs here. My copy of Human Torch. One of my favorites. Does anyone have a nice copy of Human Torch 23 cover they can post? bb
  12. I thought Rosa was still doing duck stories. I can't tell the difference between the new stories and the reprints. I don't know if he does commissions. It would be kind of nice to get a painting or two. He probably has lots of art stored away. I have seen his comic collections for sale at Heritage or Comiclink (I am not sure which). I really don't know much about him but I like his stories. bb
  13. Early Schomburg in a Gernsback publication before he dropped it and started Amazing. The similar covers can't be by accident. bb
  14. Made at my request 10-15 years ago I think. Hope you like it too. bb
  15. Speaking of Red Ryder I think I have a couple. His Sunday pages were very nice when they were full size. But I like the comics too and yes I had one of these things advertised on the back cover. But I really liked the painted covers. Reminds me of Paul Cezanne. bb
  16. You are probably right but it isn't as interesting. The good doctor already did that once. bb
  17. Watch out! He has a test tube and he knows how to use it. My favorite mad scientist from May 1937. Satan's scalpel. Is the monkey going to help? Not a happy thought but good for Halloween in 1935.
  18. Very nice covers BZ. I am not sure what story line goes with the lake of blood on the cover but the scene is bizarre. bb
  19. I think Otis Kline did a lot of work like ERB. Was his stuff as popular? Does he have any fans out there? Is there a movie planned? Cover is from Jan 7, 1933 issue. bb
  20. BZ Was this Argosy shown before? Did ERB use Argosy to print his early stories first or did Argosy take the novels and break them into serial form? Strange looking bug either way. bb
  21. I still kinda like the Fox covers. Did this also appear on a Weird Tales cover? bb
  22. Could the moisture in the break wash off the dust? Perhaps a slightly damp towel would work as well. Does lighter fluid remove tape?
  23. A great cover by Ditko. His early work is terrific. bb
