  1. I think this villain was pretty funny...Baron von Tootree.
  2. Leonard was always a favorite of mine. Perhaps it was those fancy shirts or maybe I just liked Trigger.
  3. I saw the movie for the first time a few years ago. I was surprised that I had missed it since Jerry was such a big star during my youth.
  4. One of my oldest comic pages is from October 14, 1900.
  5. I'm not sure when or where that Baker art was used, but the GCDB has the BBWT #115 at October 1952. All-Famous Police Cases #7 is also from October 1952.
  6. I have a lot of strips but never found any Johnny Comet stories.
  7. I love those Mac Raboy original art strips. I'll have to find the color strips to match.
  8. Definitely one of the best covers...period! Who used it first? Baker or Cole?
  9. I found a few scans of art by Oksner in my files.
  10. Jack Keller sold me a big lot of westerns about 10 years ago I think. He was also selling his original art. Unfortunately, I didn't buy any Kid Colt or Rawhide Kid. He seemed like a nice guy. Very modest and he enjoyed doing the work.
  11. I like that Christmas cover but would also like this swastika cover by MacRaboy.
  12. and the text story looks like this from May 1937 Star Comics
  13. This was from Star 3, May 1937. I was searching for these stories the other night and only found a few strips and a text story but Guardineer work is always fun to see. Edit: I added the date and changed the issue number.
  14. Some of those story-lines were replaced by new superheroes like Dr. Mid-Nite and Sargon.
  15. The New Fun cover is kind of busy. Is it the same as the interior? I think Jon Berk brought this one to a Geek Fest at Bill's. Maybe BZ has a nice scan too.
  16. All-American comics had a couple of Sci-fi story-lines. Ultraman was in the future and there were some visitors from Mars and Venus in "Adventures in the Unknown".. From All-American 2
  17. I don't think I have seen too many Wow What A Magazine issues. How many Sci-Fi stories did they publish? I forgot those early Sci-Fi covers by Everett. He did Skyrocket Steele for Centaur and a Connie cover for Famous Funnies. Could that be the first Sci-Fi cover for FF? Nope, Buck was featured fighting the Invaders from Mars four issues earlier.
  18. I like both of those books and like the animated cover.
  19. Mystery Men 2 probably had one of the earliest Sci-Fi covers. Rex Dexter by Fine and Briefer was terrific. Adventure had Cotton Carver. Federal Men was also mostly Sci-Fi in those early stories. What else would Shuster write? DC also had Sci-Fi from Sheldon Mayer. and Centaur had Wolverton.
  20. I have some of the early issues of Western and Dale.
  21. Did Robinson draw any covers for Timely/Atlas? He did this story and very busy party panel published in Marvel Tales..
  22. That is a lot of Western comics. I have over a hundred Lone Ranger comics, Detective comics, Walt Disney Comics and Stories, Batman comics and a few others. What other titles did you indulge yourself with? I have a lot of ME westerns but probably not a hundred yet.
  23. Those are beautiful covers. I think you need a few more to complete the sci-fi shot but you have the difficult ones.
