  1. I really like those Our Gang and New Funnies comics. Especially those with art by Barks.
  2. I would like to get more of those subscription premiums too. I have a few books and this circus giveaway. I think the soft cover Story Hour book was given with subscriptions and the hard cover was sold separately.
  3. Didn't someone have something from the Tip Top booth at the Worlds Fair? I seem to remember BZ showing something related to this ad.
  4. I also noticed an Ed Dodd strip in Peter Pat. Now I would like to find where the strip below was printed.
  5. I thought I saw an ad for those bound volumes somewhere and found it in a Single Series comics.
  6. It is a wonderful run to collect but I agree that the Frankenstein cover is my favorite.
  7. Rudy Palais had them sweating bullets in the story and the cover as well.
  8. I am sure there was a nice run somewhere in there. Looks like he invented natural pressing. I am afraid I am very close to that condition. I could put on a few more pounds and take the comics out of the 100 plus boxes and stack them up for the final touch.
  9. Speed 1 is the issue. I don't have a copy of that one. I still have a copy of National 18 and can make a scan of the splash page if the one I sent you wasn't good enough. I had forgotten about that one. What did you need again? I think I was stuck trying to edit the scan because the resolution was so high.
  10. Wonderful panel in that one. Is that a Ferstadt cover? With the Nazis vanquished the superheroes are stuck with fighting the evil scientist :insane:with their death rays and their minions, the Zombies. Things haven't changed too much since the golden age as seen in this page from Speed.
  11. Comic Cavalcade Christmas covers are some of the best.
  12. Punch cartoons Riding a motorcycle in the snow is close to an Artic experience.
  13. I had this book at the top of the pile for a long time. I hope it is safely tucked away in the storage boxes this Christmas.
  14. They haven't been replaced at our house. The ornaments will shatter if they fall off of the tree onto the hardwood floor. Tinsel is still on the tree but the lights have changed. I still miss the old bubble lights. I think the Christmas Lone Ranger belongs in here.
  15. I do like that storyline. Spy Smasher was occasionally a little crazy and sometimes an underachiever but they kept him interesting. Here is the splash from my coverless copy.
  16. I thought the kid looked like Robbie's friend from "The Invisible Boy" but I think the age difference may be too great. Anyway, I posted someone's photo of the robot.
  17. I couldn't find it either but I thought the comic needed to be posted here.
  18. Congrats. This is one of my favorite westerns (I have a 7.5 also). First appearance of RR and a cool blue sky background. I like it too but I also like Harman's painted covers in the later issues.
  19. Okay one more Duck group and then I will stop.
