    Great book. Looks like the current census topper is a 9.2. I like those early adventures... Porky and Bugs had a tough time keeping up with Donald by Barks but they gave it a good shot.

    That title keeps getting better. I think the Road Trip comic and some others have covers by Hy Fleishman.

    I remember that show and John Hart although I probably watched it because of Lon Chaney Jr. I don't remember his Lone Ranger shows but probably confuse his Captain Africa and the Phantom.

    I noticed that the new Phantom Lady Archives used this splash as an endplate. I had to clean up this scan which was out of register. The endplate looks like a better copy.

    I noticed this final appearance of the golden age Hawkman was listed on ebay. Not spamming, just thought it was cool.

    Pretty good interview BZ and interesting comments about Bill Finger's life. He was mistreated by DC big time. Even Siegel and Shuster were treated better than Bill. Shuster was a victim of poor health in his later years but did get some compensation from DC.

    I like the Lulu stories. The art isn't great but the dialogue is witty and the stories have a lot of twist and turns. I buy them but don't spend a lot. When bidding on ebay, I usually get sniped.

    I believe 169 was the final issue and it sold for 25 cents.

    I think issue 8 appeared on the news stand February 5 of 1943.

    Early editions have line drawn covers instead of painted covers and Candian editions sold for 15 cents.
