If the comics are water damaged anyway, why not buy a press and bake the &^0 out of any mold that may be on the book?

These would be good cover buys, but I can't say the inside art does much for me.

It depends how hard they want to hit that bottom staple. I would say it's a 4.5. Maybe 4.0 at worst.

There is a lot of sun fade on the cover. Look how much red and yellow is missing on the cover.

When I had a low post count I would go to the "Please Grade My" section and pop down grades.

I agree that a press could bring it to the 7.0 range.

I would say 9.2 for the top edge wear. Any unseen creases or finger bends could drop it a bit lower.

I don't see why this book doesn't get a 9.2. Most of the creases aren't color breaking.

Book is not that bad of shape. Definitely needs a press. I would agree with the other folks here regarding the grade. 9.0/9.2 after a press.

For California I would recommend Spero's Heroes. About an hour from Los Angeles. No new books, just back issues. Gold, silver, bronze, and copper. Great selection at fair prices. It was signed by Winick Mahnke Nguyan. He just used a bold white font when he signed it.

Make sure your oven is calibrated. If it is a newer oven, it should be ok. Older ovens have a habit of heating higher than the setting. If your not sure if your oven is calibrated properly buy an analog oven thermometer.

I'm not necessarily sure it does help to talk about it. (Though I do admit to liking some of these posts, which I guess makes me a hypocrite). People are making assumptions without knowing all the details. What is the point? I've watched and enjoyed a few of the Cartoonist Kayfabe videos in the past. This is the first I had heard about any allegations against him. I don't really know how to react, other than to say that it is a crazy world we live in these days. Much crazier than it was ten years ago.

Yeah, I didn't like that either, but he did take away the Thing's rocky form and brought back his lumpy look, which I thought was an improvement.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was him. His grading was so bad he probably didn't even look at the book.
