Any discussion of removing the Bulk minimums? Just curious!

If you are the lucky soul that has the 1 (out of 1000 graded) perfect 10 Hidden Fates Charizard GX...put that bad boy up on the bay for $10k.

Back in the day, Skateboarder was my fave magazine. At school we would pore over the photos, trying to work out how to do the latest tricks. The Stecyk 'Dogtown' articles were a highlight and photo techniques such as fish-eye and motor-drive were in their infancy. So over the last five years I've been trying to complete my collection (mostly VF+) but still require issue no.1 and the photo annual. The Jim Muir poster is from Skateboard World magazine and the one I had on my bedroom wall - to remind me of, what decent weather looked like!
That Grosso cover is so sick...might slab that one as well...they've only released a few in memorium covers over the years.

62 Card Bulk received 9/14/21, moved to grading on January 12 2022, moved to quality control/finalization yesterday 3/1/22, then moved to grading/finalization, then moved to shipped, then moved back to grading/finalization all in the same day so no telling where it's at. If I click on the hyperlinked words grading/finalization it takes me to a fedex tracking number but all it says is that the tracking information was sent to fedex yesterday. Has anyone else experienced this?
Got a response from customer service, it was shipped there was just a glitch in the system.
Fedex will update later today/tomorrow...that likely means they've created the label and its on its way.

CGC will only bump up .5 of the lowest grade. They don't go by finding the average..
Also if the two lowest grades match, that's the grade no matter what. So a card with sub grades 10 5.5 5.5 10 will be a 5.5.
Yep; and it is brutal.

The movement shown in the last few days for others has me looking at my submission page every day! Hopefully I'm up soon!

Should be by the end of March. There have been unforeseen complications, as there always tend to be, unfortunately.
We are definitely in the end game though! Please make sure to check out the CSG one as it will be essentially the same.

Thanks, Paul! Have a good week!

Yes, hopefully within a month! We are just fixing some database issues to make sure everything displays properly and in order.
Paul
Hey Paul! Is this within a month like by this time in March, or within a month like by the end of February? Thanks!

Any comic store, once the supply chain finally corrects. They’re crazy hard to find the past few months
Got ya; google search shows a product from BCW...assuming that route or something similar is sufficient.

Personally, I would put 2 or 3 into priority mail envelopes (in regular bags and boards), stack them and then sandwich the envelopes (2 for 5 mags) between 2 pieces of rigid cardboard that are slightly bigger than the envelopes. Wrap the sandwich in lots of bubble wrap both ways (so that there's no wiggle room) and place them in a priority mail box. Again, with enough bubble wrap around all sides so that there's no space for movement in the box.
I know this involves USPS, not UPS, but I've shipped hundreds of books this way and never had them get damaged.
Great advice; here is the super rookie question; where can I get the "regular bags and boards" you reference?
Thanks again!

How many are you sending in?
Likely UPS; open to suggestions. Its for 5 fairly thick mags (within the 1/2" limit), 8x11.

Looks like this issue for modern submissions has been update; kudos to the CGC folks!
Next question, anyone have tips/tricks on best way to ship to CGC for maximum protection?
Bumping this for input...really not sure the best way to package as the CGC tutorial is for comic mags that are relatively thin. Thanks for any insight you all might have!

Thought I would update that I now have 2 bulks in G/E/I and both have been charged (one in december and one earlier this week). These were for an early August received date.
Thanks!

On the submission form, is it just standard that you can't submit a future month release date in the current year? Hello!
At the suggestion of a longtime member, I am starting this new topic for retail/non-comic magazines.
For me specifically, I am looking at skateboard magazines, but assume there is an interest/population of folks that collect magazines of all types.
Feel free to post questions, comments, pictures, etc. related to magazines below.
Thanks!

I do, sorry if my question is out of place...usually in the TCG section of the forum.
I've been a long time subscriber to thrasher skateboard magazine, and they recently issued their 500th issue. Thought it might be a nice item to have slabbed for memories sake, plus the cover art is cool. -
Is there a standard/retail magazine thread? For non-comic related magazines.

Curious if there is going to be any movement on this? My renewal is coming up and the high bulk minimums are an issue for me.
