  1. I'm so far behind reading Saga right now...I have a pile of comics from the last six months at least
  2. Got through the first episode - I didn't think it was all that good. A lot of great actors who suffered from a lack of strong writing and horrible pacing. Pretty choppy. I'll keep watching though. I wasn't a big fan of Jessica Jones. Westworld premieres tonight on HBO.
  3. One of my favorite movies as a kid When I was much younger my friends and I talked about what movie we'd like to remake. For me, it was between this, The Thing, and the 80s The Fly. So far, trailers look amazing!
  4. Could be medical marijuana . . . Medical marijuana's responsible for 50% of all comic book speculation purchases. 100% in Oregon...
  5. K Card Companies in the 1990's seemed to create errors on purpose to build up false hype Comic companies don't get any aftermarket money. I wonder sometimes...
  6. Going to have stop posting for a bit, the Internet connection where I'm at is sucking potato sacks.
  7. Kraven is always a hit with the ladies wherever he goes...it must be the accent!
  8. The following morning, my kids arrived in SD and had their first plane ride - they were excited! My wife chose not to come down, so my kids flew solo under the watchful eye of the airline. We stayed one more night in SD and the following morning were off to Legoland. My son had been begging me to take him to Legoland after he discovered it was a mere 40 minutes away from SD. This all started last year when he discovered there was a Legoland in California. My son is very smart, top one-percent in school. Not much factual data gets by him. Thanks to Google Earth, which he has been obsessed with, he figured out exactly where Legoland was, and so here we were...with Kraven!
  9. Kraven and I found a great little place to chow down at near the comic shop.
  10. This store was very well organized and clean!
  11. On our last day in SD, Kraven and I decided to check out a local shop called Comics-n-Stuff. very cool shop for the modern collector, they didn't have much older stuff.
  12. Kraven also decided to call it a night and told me he'd be going solo for the rest of the week. Surprisingly, unlike some of my other friends, I didn't get a call from Kraven asking me to bond him out jail or some other silly jam. I will say when Kraven and I met back up, he wasn't quite the same...hopefully I'll find out what happened to him during his solo time in SD.
  13. Kraven did hang out with me at the CBLDF party. I decided to bounce out early after not feeling well.
  14. Kraven with the NBC building in the background.
  15. that is awesome Royce. Thanks! I give away tons of stuff every year to a cosplay group that does pediatric ward visits all over the state. You've got to give back, it can't all be me, me ,me, me. There are a lot of extremely generous people on these boards. Ten years ago would I have done this? Probably not. I would have tossed them in a fifty cent or dollar box and taken them to shows.
  16. I decided to take a cab back to my place and had the good fortune of meeting Juana who had been driving taxi in SD for over twenty-five years! She was a very nice lady with a great sense of humor. She even let Kraven ride in front with her. I got her number and was sure to call her whenever I needed a lift. Every taxi driver I talked to at SD said business had dropped substantially because of Uber, and that they did not get much more business during SDCC. I only use taxis when in SD and I always tip well. I talked to one taxi driver who told me he had two fares in two days - that's it!
