  1. Saw the movie today and a few words come to mind: choppy and disjointed. It wasn't horrible, it wasn't great either - I'd go with okay. I think with BvS, much like the Dark Knight, too much got crammed and the film was the victim of poor pacing and transitioning. The intros of the future JLA players wasn't done very well and I thought for sure one or more of them would have had more screen time. I'd sit through it again on DVD or Netflix. I say this all the time, and I'm glad I'm living in a time where we get to see all these comic book movies be they good, bad, or otherwise. Unless I missed it, at least I didn't have to sit through a thread where people were upset because Perry White wasn't, well, white. Some of you may recall the nonsense that went on here with the casting of Sam Jackson as Nick Fury. Here's to hoping the future DC films improve I am looking forward to Suicide Squad.
  2. Mixed reviews and all, I can't help it - going to see it tomorrow. Whether it's good, okay, or sucks, I'm a long time comic fan who is lucky enough to be able to even get the chance to see all these comic based films.
  3. I picked my kids up from a trip to the theater with their grandma tonight, and I saw lines of people for BvS. Scores of people leaving the theater talking about what a great time they had seeing it. I'll see it early next week. For those who have seen it, spoiler-free thoughts on Lex Luthor?
  4. All I can say is that if you are shipping to Canada, USPS is the best way to go. If you use UPS to ship to Canada, you will most probably lose all of your Canadian customers. I had an absolutely horrible experience shipping via UPS to Canada for a boardie. I will never use UPS for international shipping again after that. The brokerage fee BS and the lousy service was enough for me.
  5. This says it all. This specific thread is about value speculation. I think we can say that many books don't fall into the "I've read that" category. There are plenty of threads praising comics and stories that people like, gasp... just for the story. If you can spot quality, you may easily be able to pick up books cheaply while the fan base develops. Reading the books is an important part to any speculative approach. This is reason many people smart people were buying Saga #1 when it was $20 raw or $100 in CGC 9.8. Yep.
  6. I'm number 5 Last time I checked I was 1,831. Kraven needs to come to Oregon!
  7. comicnut1969 is yet another Ryan Elliott eBay shill account.
  8. This one: 21st Century Tank Girl #1? Yeah, that's the one.
  9. I might be late to the party with this, but anyone grab Tank Girl from Titan Comics? It sold out at every shop here.
  10. The North as in Canada, the North Pole or Winterfell?
  11. +1 Kraven is gay,or so I hear. How dare you, sir. Kraven is as manly as they come. Sure, he wears fur and leopard print, and has an immaculate mustache with suave, perfect hair - but... Kraven looks like Freddie Mercury on 'roids.
  12. ...wow...that's a crazy grade for that book. It's all about the timing...
  13. I have been selling raw copies of New Mutants 1 at shows for good prices over the last year or so. The last copy I sold was NM+ for $50. Didn't a MGN 4 sell for crazy money a few years ago - something like $1K?
  14. Weeks without a Kraven update has left me feeling a little down. I know - let's play a game...
  15. The cover is great, especially with the red
