  1. "If you're raising the print runs then the price should come down." Yes, and as with Peter Parker, ... #1, covers A, B, and C unsigned are $90. At a perhaps soon to be reached price point, I'll have to get off the J. Scott Campbell train due to insufficient funds and call it a day for my Campbell cover collection.
  2. Mollie, Please create a (s) [edit] set for DC's Elvira's House of Mystery (total issues: 11), to include Elvira's House of Mystery Special 1: Haunted Holidays. Thank you!
  3. I am waiting for a shipment from him dating to 2007 ... I jest. However, having purchased from him many years past, he would, for example, either not ship to me all of the comic books that I had paid for or ship a fine copy of a book although I had purchased and paid for a VF/NM copy (if you grade that subjectively, you are in the wrong business). Of course, he would take several months to ship after I had paid him. Thankfully, in the end, after many emails and voice messages (I don't recall that he ever answered his telephone), I was able to obtain a refund of all the money I had paid him for books he did not ship or shipped a lower grade copy of, although accepting my money for a higher grade copy. Strangely, I never received a higher graded copy than what I had purchased .
  4. I don't want to be on earth when he shoots his gun.
  5. Since joining these boards in 2007 I have posted virtually non-stop, as my post count shows. However, with the new format my posting has reduced dramatically.
  6. Unfortunately, based on the photographs, I agree that its looks like a cb spine tick. If so, I also agree that a press will not remove the CB.
  7. Forgive me, but Pat, board name The Resurrection, posted the statement that I have placed in quotations below after purchasing copies of the Pink at the Baltimore ComicCon. Thus, unless Bulletproof Comics brought copies to the New York ComicCon that it did not bring to Baltimore, pressing will "make CGC graded" 9.8 copies of the two copies that you believe are that grade, or Pat corrects me, will those two copies actually grade 9.8? Please let the board know if you did, in fact, obtain CGC 9.8 on those two copies. "Hank brought the last 200 to Baltimore, they were 9.4/9.6 at best. I dug through and picked up 2 sets. The worst copies however were around a 9.2." I posted my comment because Pat is an excellent grader. (Edit: replaced "a" with "an") Pat's statement may be found in the "Harley Quinn self titled most sought after variants" thread. Best.
  8. Pat, I hope you and your family are well. I just wait, and wait, and wait, and wait a little bit more and eventually the newly graded books arrive and then it starts all over again. (Mr. Curly Howard was a genius!)
  9. This is a title I look forward to reading every month since purchasing issue number one because of its cover art. I enjoy both the writing and art and will be reading this title for the long term.
  10. Mike, Thank you for a transaction that went above and beyond.
  11. A very big kudos to Nick, Flaming Telepath, for some fantastic books by way of his last sales thread.
  12. and the poor seller of the 9.4 netted a whopping $90, less than 1/2 guide Yes, I did notice that and, despite not edit: being :end edit the seller of the book, found the sale price "sad." Hopefully the seller only had a few dollars "invested" edit: in :end edit the book. Edit: I may edit again despite the "death" of 100 page books.
  13. ADVENTURE COMICS #416 1970, 100 Pager. Women of the DC u ... 2nd Highest CGC Graded No Reserve Auction Final Bid: $379 Nice price, at least for the buyer, on this book that sold in the most recent CL auction.
  14. If a COD #1 9.8 and Ghosts #1 9.6 can go for multi-thou, may as well play the lottery. (thumbs u It (i.e., $$$$) has worked for me with a few "no longer my highest grade" or "I don't wish to own this book any longer" Neal cover art, etc., books, horror and otherwise. In several cases I have been very pleasantly surprised by the amount someone was willing to pay for the book.
  15. " ... Congratulations! We're writing to confirm your successful offer in the amount of $850 for SHOWCASE #22, VG/F. The seller has been notified, and will ship the item to ...." 46834 August 11th 2009 $0.00 VOIDED Title Vol/Iss Grade Qty Price ----- ------- ----- --- ----- ------------ ITEM TOTAL: $0.00 Sales Tax: $0.00 Shipping Cost: $0.00 ------------ INVOICE TOTAL: $0.00 Payments: $0.00 ------------ AMOUNT DUE: $0.00
  16. "I'm terrible with leaving kudos. I buy [a small ton] of stuff on the Boards & just don't take the time to complete this final part of the deal. Sorry to all of my sellers." Ditto!
