Show Us Your Atlas Books - Have A Cigar

Absolutely, one of the most difficult Atlas issues to find in a solid fine or better. I have looked since the 1980s. My raw grades around vg+. -

This is the history of the Edenwald collection for those of you who are not aware of it. One of the top PH collections to ever surface.

Absolutely, beautiful copy that has been elusive for me in HG .

Love this issue, also. I remember my father taking me to RX (drug store) near our town. He let me buy one or two comics and I remember reading this issue in the car on the way back home.

I heard about the "Kentucky" collection, Jeff. It was an amazing find. Also, great to have you check out this thread and post some of those books. I had just mentioned some of the "old" timers who were in the beginnings of this thread and the amazing collections compiled. The nicest raw collection of PH books that I came across was my first trip to the Chicago Con around 1995. Oakleaf Comics, out of Iowa I believe, had just acquired a high grade collection and I was one of the first to go through their boxes. Of course, at the time I only pulled issues that I was missing in my title runs. Most of those issues when slabbed years later were 8.0 to 9.2 grades. I remember the books were priced from $35 to $125, which was the condition guide price at that time. Still have the sticker price on this raw JIM 70

Very nice with WP too boot. Shame Bronty dropped out and/or changed his interests. I picked up many of my HG PH books from previous highest registry set owners. My first posting on this thread was in May of 2011, almost 10 years now. The big dogs then were, Cheetah, Turtleboy23, Tsimanga and Korvac Saga. Bronty, Marvel runs, Rosland and myself followed up years later when these guys sold off most of their collections through auctions and personal sales. Also, long time collectors and contributors to this thread such as Mysterio, Kirbyjack, Adamstrange, DRX and Jimjum12 still remain on this thread today. Some of the old names we have not heard from in along time: AtlasFan (sold his collection), tr moore54, crimson dynamo, silver surfer, HaydenTo, zzutak and others I cannot recall were heavy contributors to discussions back then.

They followed up with this one. "The monster who came to dinner" was really watering down the horror genre books by this time. Also, another Harry Anderson cover. -
