  1. Thought I would post some more MGA. Nice copies Bill, especially your 35. I cannot seem to pick up a decent copy. Heritage sold a slabbed 9.0 copy a couple of weeks ago for big bucks!
  2. Nice issue 78. The different shades of purple and magenta are striking. Here are two I dug up that I have not seen posted yet. This issue has the first Space Museum story. Nice colors on this one.
  3. The 105 has been elusive to me so far. Great book, Billy. (thumbs u
  4. A few BB from my collection. The 18 is such a beautiful cover and Kubert's artwork iin this title just seems to be a labor of love for him. The 37-39 do seem difficult to find in higher grades. Took me many years just to find this one.
  5. Thought i would post a few of my Cole books. I finally found an affordable copy of Mask 2 last month. My favorite LB Cole romance cover.
  6. Super copies by Adam, as usual. Love this Everett cover on issue # 2
  7. Anybody catch last weeks Heritage weekly auction? Bunch of slabbed pre-heroes mainly JIM and Strange Tales. I was able to grab the JIM 73 (8.5) but that was it. The Strange Tales just went out of sight. The ST 100 in 9.2 went for over $2000 including buyer's premium. The ST 87 and 88 graded 8.5 each were over graded!! Rounded corners, edge wear, etc. looked more like 7.0-7.5 at best. Anyone pick up anything?
  8. Some of you may not be aware of this book. Dated 1952 with rebound romance issues, the entire book! Six Baker stories plus one Kubert and Estrada. The back cover is completely blank as are the inside front and back covers. Exception selection of artwork. The front cover just makes no sense with the content inside. This one does not pop up very often. Dated 1952 with 3 Canteen Kate strs. plus 3 Baker romance strs.
  9. Here are a couple of fairly recent acquistions. Wild Ditko cover plus 3 stories on this HTF issue. Brutal cover by B.Bailey
  10. Nothing like an alien robot cover compliments of B. Bailey. Love the deep purples on this book. Mort Meskin's cover plus the entire issue. This one qualifies as second string DC, right. How can you go wrong here, heroic dog, dinosaur, A-bomb cover. Sweet!!
  11. Adam, check out the Atlas Tales website. The Spellbound 29 cover is by Severin.I agree it looks alittle like Maneely except for the guy coming out of the wall and again Severin put his monogram J.P.S. on the man's shirtcuff. Like your Spellbound postings!!!
  12. Beautiful copies of your SA 58 and 110, John. Here is one of my favorite SA covers.
  13. Here are some pre Kirby and Ditko (henceforth referred to as PKD) Strange Tales that have some interesting covers, but for the most part have some mediocre art and stories. With a few exceptions with a Williamson or Torres story here or there, we can only thank goodness for Stan Lee to bring in Kirby, Ditko and Heck to energize this title. This issue is fairly hard to find. This Everett cover is very striking. Can you believe this cover.Attack of the killer washing machines.
  14. Thanks, Bill. Your collection isn't too shabby either. As you know , it just takes time and also the thrill of the "hunt" for those elusive gems out there.
  15. Spellbound definitely ROCKS. Here are few from my collection. This is the River City collection copy. This is just a terrific cover by Everett.Plus artwork by Krigstein, Colan and Sinnott. 10 cents well spent in 1953. This issue has an early 5 page Ditko sci/fi story. Plus an excellent Severin cover. Check out Severin's monogram on the guy's shirtcuff.
  16. Arrrgh, snow bound again. Another 16 inches to add to the 26 a few days ago. Here are some more Rip Hunters' from my collection. Great copies being posted by you guys!!! Issue 2 seems to be a tough on to find in HG. This creature is about as weird as they come. Here's my Show #20. Picked up this decent copy over 20 years ago. Bone white pages too boot. I like the Moreira art in Show 20, but the Kubert art in 25 and 26 is excellent ,also. This is from the Mound City collection .
  17. I stand corrected. It is an Anderson cover on Astonishing 32. I looked it up in Overstreet and it gave Sale the credit. Looking at it, I thought it was a strange looking Sale style. I was not sure if Anderson was drawing in early 1953, but the Atlas Tales site confirms it. We all know Overstreet is riddled with errors. They got me on this one.
  18. This Atlas title produced many excellent covers. Here are a few of my favorites. I looked many years to find a nice copy of this issue. Harry Anderson gets credited for this great cover. Maneely cover The next two Everett covers have to be on anyone who collects Atlas horror. Superlative interior artwork by the same artist.
  19. I do not think I have ever seen a copy of that Mysterious Adventure for sale. That just went up to the top of my want list!!! Here is another classic B.Bailey cover.
  20. Nice pick up of the JIM run, Tom. The JIM 37 is one of my favorites. The 39 is the first SA issue and has a Wally Wood story in it. Sweet.
  21. That Marvel Tales is an awesome cover. Only seen a couple of ratty looking copies for sale. Here are some of my favorite TOS covers. I love these old classified ads. Here is one from CBM dated 1995.
  22. Here is the Men's Adventure 21 that is similar to the Adventures Into Terror 25 cover. I think I like the AINT 25 better.
  23. I love to find these old classified ads with books for sale. This ad is from CBM # 21 1993. I am sure most of you recognize the seller.
