  1. I want to join in on the fun. Bethlehem copy Bethlehem copy
  2. Spectacular books. The Bethlehem copy of Menace #1 at 7.0. Just shows you the rarity of this issue in the higher grades.
  3. You guys are just killing it with these great looking books. Fabulous
  4. It would have been tough for him to beat "King Kirby's" superb talent for rendering these creative and now, iconic monster images. IMO, he would have followed along the lines of Ditko with interior stories and an occasional cover or partial covers. Zzutuk, awesome books, man!!!!
  5. Dear lord what gorgeous copies. Can you imagine the day/week/month/year? that Adam decides to part with his PH collection. A sale for the ages
  6. No way, No way!!! Sartre, you were definitely at the right place at the right time to have a chance to acquire these incredible books. World's Fear 10 at 9.2, Chilling Tales 16 in 8.5. These are impossible books in HG. (worship)
  7. I seem to recall that I definitely saw the WM ST 89 at Jerry Weist's booth at a NY show. He had a group of WM PH books on a wire rack. I asked to look at a few without taking them out of their sleeves. I seem to remember the ST 89 was not as nice as the other issues I looked at. Also, the stratospheric prices made me move on. That ST 74 is unbelievable. That issue is one of the more difficult ones to find in HG. It is amazing how these books were able to be preserved by the original owner. Most copies were not even that nice right off the stand due to rough handling by the distributors.
  8. Nah, you don't want that copy, it has "61" written on the cover in ink. But, I will gladly take it off his hands for a much reduced price.
  9. Just two awesome issues. I can't decide which one I like better. Must have books for any PCH collector.
  10. Incredible run of Capt. Sciences', Sartre. I only posted these catalog pages to show the younger PCH collectors a little history of how ,where and when many of the HG books became available to the general public, as a question was asked from a previous posting. Will there ever be another Spokane, Northford or River City type horror collections to surface?
  11. They were some excellent pick ups, Bill. Even a TTA #1, sweeeet!
  12. In 2003, ComicCollectors.net came out with this very nice quality catalog just full of PCH books from several pedigree collections. These are just a sampling of the goodies from this catalog. [
  13. But, I am willing to bet everything sold out. Some books, maybe prices were negotiated, but not many.
  14. I attended one in April 2000. Half the issues were not slabbed at that time. Not only PCH, but pedigree copies of silver DC mystery and sci-fi titles galore. I just did not have enough funds to get a fraction of what I wanted. Looking through some of the other catalogs, I saw a few copies that I sold off back in 1997-1998. When I saw the Capt. Science # 2, I knew I had seen this book before from a Greg Manning auction. Looks like it was reslabbed at some point.
  15. Wish I could help you guys with your want lists. But, no can do. Prior to the Heritage, Clink and ComicConnect auctions, in many cases in order to have a shot at HG PH books, you could shop through a catalog like this one from 2003. Marnin Rosenberg presents here a very nice catalog chock full of not only PH marvels, but oodles of PCH from the Bethlehem, Spokane and other pedigree collections. Feast yer' eyes on these , mateys.
  16. Sartre, I have wondered for years who had the MM 12 (Beth). That copy and several other Bethlehems were mine. Sold them raw around 1998 to Metro. Your incredible postings reminded me of the auctions that occured 10-13 years ago preceding Heritage, Clink and ComicConnect. For those of you that are somewhat novices to PCH collecting, Greg Manning Auctions out of West Caldwell, NJ, had several auctions from 1999 to 2001 that featured many of the newly discovered Spokane and River City horror collections. This one catalog from Feb.24. 2001, that I am showing, had page after page of PCH from those collections. I am showing barely half of this catalog's offerings of this genre. Feast you eyes and have a kerchef handy to wipe the drool.
  17. Adam, your TOS 32 ...... words fail me, gorgeous. How many WM PH copies do you have? The TTA 1 is a very good investment even at 5.7K. This issue is only going up and up being a key number one issue. I do no think there a many other unknown HG copies lurking out there.
