  1. If you have any 19's or 27's I would be falling over myself to move these as if they were tainted with the real honest-to-goodness zombie plague. That said, I'm still a sucker for some of the variants and love the show.
  2. Again it matters on which Superman. Pre Crisis Superman has no upper limit. Current Superman versions are more debatable. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powers_and_abilities_of_Superman Powers Unlimited super strength, speed, stamina, endurance and durability. Extreme longevity Enhanced mental processes, defences, and genius level intellect. Unlimited physical senses (sight, smell, touch, taste, hearing). Ability to perceive the entire electro-magnetic spectrum and various other forms of energy. Flight Flight across the universe to distant galaxies and solar systems through hyperspace, flying through space warps near earth and emerging many light years away. X-ray vision Heat Vision Precise muscle control and vocal control. Freezing/hurricane breath. Super-Ventriloquism Super-Hypnosis But During the Byrne Superman, the DC Heroes RPG statized the strength of Superman is able to lift 800,000 tons. Post Byrne, we don't know, but he has moved smaller planets.
  3. Current age: Hulk only when he's super SUPER mad by a hair. Pre-Crisis: No contest, Superman would punch him into the sun or punch him into next week or something. Thor, this guy is a joke compared to these two. Edit: In the current DC post crisis universe Superboy prime has the strength on the same level superman did during pre-crisis. So I guess Superboy prime could beat him. Although the true extent of Superboy primes powers are now questionable since he's back on earth prime.
  4. That book is a running joke in our family. I need to post my 9.6 of that book when I get the chance. !
  5. I looked at those books for quite a while on Friday but couldn't pull the trigger for what he wanted. Great books! I hope you talked him down a bit. There was a fourth Baker romance books with those also.
  6. Dear Gator when buying/selling raw books at conventions how do you store your high end books while traveling around the con floor room? Do you put them in fortress holders right away after purchase and carry them up to the hotel room one by one, do you lug them around the con in a backpack, do you have a bulletproof suitcase, etc. etc.
  7. There is only one known copy of Zeppelin Stories June 1927 "The Gorilla of the Gas Bags" I don't know when its going up for sale. But it's a part of the Robinson collection that will be coming up for auction soon. http://www.magazineart.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=2176&g2_serialNumber=2
  8. I've got to go with All Star 8. Although Sensation has a cool cover . WW 1 a distant 3rd.
  9. One of my favorite "behind the curtain" images is Charles Peales' self-portrait from 1802. "The Artist in His Museum" Very cool!
  10. Thank you. I'm going to have to get some of those. I love Peanuts. I've been reading a lot of them lately. Love the early stuff.
  11. Wow I find myself really liking that Tip Top I guess I don't ever remember seeing that one. (thumbs u
  12. Very cool on that Dynamic, I've owned a low grade copy, but I've had a hard time finding anything above VG. I wish I never passed up the Crowley copy. Although if I remember correctly it had a chunk taken out of it. But you have to pay above guide to get it in any grade.
  13. I'm wondering that also. They had a cover xerox wrap which might of caused someone to accidently bid high. But they made it clear in the listing and questions.
  14. I'd been looking for a copy of this book for a long time. After I got this one I saw a coverless copy go for 75.00. So I was happy with this one.
  15. oh, I think it was resolved... Frank says the books are different, nothing wrong done, his closest board friends support him (although apparently privately, not publicly) 99% of the boards say the books are the same from the compelling visual evidence and frank has lost the trust of 99% of the board... pretty much sums it up Rick, as anybody knows I would want to get along with everyone...I get razzed for it all the time...but those books are 100% identical. There is just no question. Anybody that has owned 1000's and 1000's of books knows that there are no two 100% identical copies. There are books that I have owned dozens and dozens of copies of and I would be able to tell every single one of them apart. That's not the case here. The evidence is pretty simple, in that it's too much of a coincidence that Frank bought a CGC 8.5 and now an exactly identical raw 9.2 is sitting for sale a month later from the same person. In a court of law it would be a slam dunk. Now I'm not that fussed about the fact that he calls it a 9.2. It even looks like a 9.2 from the scan (okay, maybe a 9.1) but what I am fussed about is an outright lie. I can't go against what my eyes show me as naked evidence. If he has friends that are supporting him, then it sounds like a whole new division has been created over this incident and that is what is really, really sad. On the one hand I don't want to lose some board members as friends and on the other hand I can't go against what my eyes are telling me is sitting in front of me. well, the court of the boards has already deteremined they are the same book...and have found frank guilty... that said, it is statistically possible that 2 books contain identical flaws (I know, I know)... and since I am a friend of the damned, I can not be a judge or on the boards jury, I am just out here in the aisles, shaking my head at the situation... ...yea, it's about as likely as winning the Powerball Lottery TWICE in your lifetime that one person would ever own two identical 40 year old books ,then factor in "at the same exact time..." Yep. Not ONLY do you have to have a 40 year old book with all of these EXACT same FLAWS, but you have to have the book with the EXACT same PRINTING defects, plus the EXACT same FRONT and BACK COVER image CUT/CENTERING as these books do. Plus it happens to be owned by the SAME PERSON in the SAME TIME frame who just happened to deal with the previous owner who had the same book. Then you just happen to have both books RECENTLY SOLD by means that we can't see. Yea I would say the odds of this happening are about the same as winning a 250 million Powerball lottery back to back.
