  1. Heroes had a HUGE HUGE stash of high grade Witching Hour 3's. Many/most had poor page quality. However I suspect many of the HG copies came out of their batch. 3 is by far the easiest copy to get below issue 15.
  2. Personally I've seen most of those in high grade. I had a harder time finding a decent 13. The one book I would without doubt agree with you on is 17. I never see that one in high grade. I bought a 8.5/9.0 copy from Doug Suplia and was super happy to get it. I've never seen that book above 9.0. 15 is somewhat tough also but I've seen a couple that would grade above 9.0. If you want to get rid of that FTDM #9 let me know.
  3. I took a quick digital photo to show you an example of the different image area from the Unexpecteds and the WW13's. As you can see the Unexpected is cropped low at the top but it gives much more image area on the bottom. On the WW13 as you can see the new book I bought has more image area on both the bottom and on the side. I keep some lower grade books just because they show more image area. Everyone in a while I get lucky and find a slightly oversized book that really shows off more image area.
  4. I've got the Rosa 9.2 copy of the WW 13 also. For some reason its my favorite cover of the run. But the centering on that book really makes it. I've been much more picky about the image area lately. Sometimes I also like the book cut a little low on top to give more image area on the bottom. Also sometimes you can sometimes find a book slightly oversized to get more image area. I like that Unexpected. I've got a nice copy also. Wow redfishing really makes things crazy. Nice FMansion 9 you won. I always liked that cover also. Missed out.
  5. Nice book, I've been looking for a decent copy of that book for sometime. But I did finally pick up a copy of WWar 13 9.6 with perfect centering after years of looking. Spent more than I should of.
  6. Many thanks to Sterling, for my HOS88. Great packing!!!
  7. I don't know what's up with CGC quality control, but this is the 2nd mislabeled Rosa book I've seen. http://cgi.ebay.com/DON-ROSA-PEDIGREE-Ho...1QQcmdZViewItem
  8. I suspect my chances are slim. Considering most of the big names still need this book and its a cherry looking copy. Also if anyones thinking the 9.2 copy. Well, there's only 1 and it has C/OW pages. For 9.0 copies theres 2 and Greggy cracked his Northland. There are no 8.5's
  9. Sorry Sterling, I have to seriously bid on this book. Its the best looking copy I've ever seen. By the way that HOS 88 looks just awesome. Thanks. http://cgi.ebay.com/DON-ROSA-PEDIGREE-Ho...1QQcmdZViewItem
  10. For those that don't know its also a swipe from a well known piece by Waterhouse called The Lady of Shalott
  11. Wow, great to hear from you. Hopefully everything will work out What a nightmare. I like my horror stories to be works of fiction, not reality
  12. Wow! Even I would have bought it for that price! When was it for sale? The miswrap was consistent. The book listed for $800, but the buyer (whom I know) nabbed it for $400 or so. The book was listed over a year ago, Andy-before you joined the boards I think. Chuck sold a Dallas Stevens book 50% off It wasn't a preaty book, but yea that book is super hard to find. Many of those for some reason also have poor page quality in addition to the common miswrap.
