  1. I'm amazed sometimes how TOUGH this book is to find in high grade. I've only seen one other copy come up here for sale in this grade, and it disappeared within an hour. Nice find!!!!
  2. The worrisome thing is if this went USPS Priority International, as of 2009 there is no tracking information as the USPS dropped offering delivery confirmation on everything but Express Mail. Hopefully, the person at least did the Customs Long Form as this has a customs number that may offer some details if it was processed and when. Good luck with this one, as the length of time this has taken is already worrying me, and it's not even my books.
  3. BINGO! Although I'm going to blow it off, that is the reason I was bothered by the situation. The hassle of the whole reholder process.
  4. It takes about a week to get slabs out to you, not 3 months (at least that's about how long it took for my slabs to go from California to you in the UK). Can you file a paypal claim if you paid via paypal (or has the amount of time elapsed been too long?)? I would mention their name. No kidding! 3 months? This would have been a PayPal claim after the first month, which you are allowed. The only protection they will offer is if the package did not arrive (your situation). If it was not-as-described, they do not cover this like they do for PayPal.
  5. Yeah, you're right. For $11 and the grief it may bring, it is more trouble than it is worth. I wouldn't sell a book like that, so at least the seller knows this was not a good thing to do when selling on this forum. Thanks folks (yes Sean, you too)
  6. Sean, thanks for the note. Although I could understand if this was a situation where someone said "Well, there's a little rub mark on the case," we are not talking about a huge issue. I've had that on here and blew it off as natural when you are dealing with plastic protective cases. When the case looks overly warn when I talk about "scratches," and I make it a point to pay within minutes - not days - I expect the same consideration in making a transaction go smooth. So thanks for the "pound sand" take on things, but if I pay $150 for a book that is valued at that level because GPA states GRADED books go for that level - not the raw version - you would expect the case to have some decent look to it, right? Thanks though. Got you marked on the Santa naughty list now.
  7. This buyer - within the hour of receiving an invoice if I am online. Otherwise, within the day. I take that very serious how I deal with a transaction.
  8. Question for the board about sales problems. So I purchased two books on here from the same seller for right around market price just because I wanted to take them off my search list. I get the books safely packed. These were over $300 combined, so I am not talking about low-cost books. The one CGC case is gorgeous, and the book has been inserted into a third-party protective bag. I am overjoyed with this one! The second book had no protective bag, and the case looks like someone accidentally scratched it up to the point this needs to be a reholder. The photos did not pick up on this or I would have caught it and asked questions. When I contacted the seller and politely pointed this out, I also offered what I thought was a reasonable solution. If he at least pays the reholder fee, I'll cover shipping. I am in the process of sending a large order into CGC anyway, so it would just be additional weight. Am I being fair? Also, if the seller blows me off when I am being very polite, is this the thread to attempt to resolve this? I am assuming so. Thanks folks for the guidance in advance.
  9. Thanks once again to the amazing bghkoyama for two super Usagi books I've wanted and some sweet freebies. Brian, you pack like these books have to be protected for the space launch, ship faster than The Flash could keep up with, and always insert a caring note. What else can I do for you? Setup a bank account and just do direct deposit from here on out? My hero! (thumbs u
  10. Wouldn't that be a great panel Q&A session? "Next question for Mister Sienkiewicz please." "Yes, why do you take fan money for commissioned art and then never deliver on the OA?" "Uhhhhhhh....I....well....uhhhhh. Next question!"
  11. Sorry to hear this. I hope someone tracks him down and makes things right.
  12. Right? That wood floor panel is to die for. Just cleaned for this forum as well (thumbs u Because you know SOMEONE would say something, right?
  13. I'd say that is more than outstanding. Sorry you are having to do that to move great books. Great luck with all the sales. (thumbs u
  14. Nice! And with White Pages and super signatures. Congratulations!
  15. The Valiant books? I'd wait if it is that FS thread. Remember our discussion?
  16. I'd like to thank [font:Arial]IVEGOTNEATSTUFF [/font]for a super order, extremely well packaged, and quickly shipped. Thanks David for a job well done!!
  17. I knew if anyone was going to jump for joy over that book, you would be at the top of the list.
  18. A little modern order arrived today. I'm happy!
  19. Man, where is his thread? I'm in an eBay buying mood today, and really want to receive low-grade books for top prices. Let me at 'em!
  20. The CGC Gods shined brightly in your favor. Nicely done!
  21. So CGC does not allow a group of senior board members to enforce at least a little forum guidelines when it comes to sales situations? I thought that was the case when someone didn't pay grinder recently and three or four members jumped on the member's sales thread to ensure he realized "Pay Now - Sell Later!" Wouldn't it be the same if someone is overgrading their books and there is a history of complaints?
