  1. Was this serious that someone stated they overgrade purposely and they are still selling on the board? I would think we want someone like that to go back to being on eBay 100% if this is true (and I guess it is when someone states it in a sales thread).
  2. :o A 9.4 WP from 1946? Man, that floors me how gorgeous this book which is over 60 years old is in. GREAT JOB!
  3. I just want to say how terrific an experience I had buying from comix4fun, who packed so amazingly safe a truck could have hit the package and broke its bumper. Oh, and the books - I am still floating in the clouds due to each book's condition and care. Chris, you are top-notch. Thank you!!
  4. Such as? Just want to make sure if you are referring to me telling him in a funny way "BS" in stating the two books were different, it's just that. Then if the same person does it again, it's not kind words needed going forward. Ummm...I wasn't talking about you at all It was just a general statement...I'll give you an example...what bugs me is when someone posts a PGX Y or Z book and 3 or 4 brainchildren, tell the poster to crop the picture... Just didn't want you thinking I'm taking the rules lightly. I totally respect where everyone is coming from. Now the folks that encourage doing something to get around the forum rules - well, then they are JUST as guilty, if not more, because they know better just by encouraging such behavior. Then maybe they are not allowed to purchase for a period of time like what happens with non-paying buyers.

  6. If you like dark, serious stories, you'll be hooked. At least with the early material. Good luck with your Crow reading!
  7. Well maybe, potentially, probably I may want to purchase one or two.
  8. Thank you to Mr.Silvestri for being the outstanding seller every buyer hopes for, and filling Batman and Usagi gaps I had in my collection. Way to go Sam!
  9. Sure, let me open my wound so you can throw more salt in.
  10. I'm searching around for a nice Fear 19 and you find it in a bargain bin? Where are the comic gods when I need them? Not you Greggy. You fit into a special category of "comic god." Nice haul!
  11. Yes, I've been on a bit of a buying spree so back again for more compliments. Thanks to flatrock02 for helping build out my Uncanny X-Men run, along with a gorgeous Valiant book to boot. Top-notch seller!
  12. Thank you to [font:Arial]GMAN[/font] for a fantastically packed Spider-Man I've been on the search for, and quickly shipped. Was even kind enough to thrown in freebies for additional reading. Top-notch!
  13. My gift from J. O'Barr for helping raise money for the Boy Scouts. Right next to my second favorite signed print, "The Shadow" by Michael Kaluta.
  14. I concur!!! Here are 4 I received back yesterday A fantastic looking Tec 400. What a gem!
  15. Now that is one of my favorite Deathlok covers ever. Nice pickup!!
  16. Mine either, really; I have a full run of the Epic reprints/new issues from the 80's, but that's about it. I've always had a soft spot for Elfquest though. This is probably the nicest copy I've seen. It was raw when I bought it, but since it was a Borock thread I wasn't worried about an inaccurate grade (thumbs u . Actually, in the sales thread he graded the PQ as OW-W, and as you can see it came back with W PQ. I'm really going to miss Steve's sales. What, is this Fantasy Quarterly 1 week? I posted a CGC 9.8 a few clicks back. What an underrated book. Nice pickups!
  17. That drawing is gorgeous! I have to take a picture of a print O'Barr sent me years ago. I was raising money for my boy scout troop I was helping out with, and called every company to ask for donations to go towards a comic charity. O'Barr was so cool about it, he sent an extra item with a note of appreciation for what I was doing. I lost the note years ago, but never the print.
  18. How cool! I'd never even heard of this set before. Thanks for sharing!!
  19. $125 for a CGC 9.6. I just took 30 minutes too long in getting to the thread. Ugh!
  20. One of the best storylines in comics EVER! I am still kicking myself for missing out on JJ's Caliber Presents 1 CGC 9.6 he sold a few months ago. Last time I saw the complete set sold CGC'd was on ComicLink back in December. Prices were not even that bad at all.
  21. Wow! Looks like there is plenty of buying going on from checking this thread. Picked these two up recently, and was overjoyed with the prices. Good time to be a wise collector.
  22. Nice books! Really cool that O'Barr signed the back.
  23. Hey there folks. I am sure deep in the threads somewhere this has been touched upon before, but this is one of my favorite series of the 80's. Especially since O'Barr's life experience with the death of his girlfriend drove him to pour out a work of art that is timeless. Anyone else a nut over the depth of the early work? I made the mistake of selling my originals off years ago, and have been slowly rebuilding my collection.
