  1. I've been away from the boards... I thought Wayne-Tec was trapped in the Baxter Building. BTW, congrats to Wayne-Tec. I spoke too soon. Wayne is no longer in the Pre-Robin Tec Club...?
  2. Yeah, I didn't notice it before but there are tide marks on the book, front and back, and very likely on the interiors as well. If the price point was lower, I can see the book to be a good resto candidate.

  4. Well, put me down for a Tec 187 if you have a decent copy for sale at a reasonable price.
  5. I would agree the cover on 36 is better. The design on 37 is actually a patchwork of recycled figures from panels seen in Tec 28 and elsewhere. I also found 36 much scarcer compared to 37, which seems to be available everywhere these days.
  6. Nope. The next page will make it very easy to ID. No need for another page. You made me dig out my issue of WAR 46, after thinking Crandall. I'm playing for pride now. It's Reed Crandall...though you gotta admit it's weak Crandall with thin, monotonous lines with hardly spotting of blacks or the fine feathering he was known for. This one must be a rush job...or he was inked by another.
  7. Here is another page from the story. Fred Kida.
  8. Some Atlas pages are tricky because they can be the result of "multiple hands." For instance the earlier Baker page appears to have inks by Vince Colletta. Just guessing by the loose style of inking, the other Atlas regular that comes to mind is Tony DiPreta...
  9. No, that's not me...that's Scott(?) from CGC, probably from some signing event. What I meant about ROW showing up a lot online is that, there were several who were fortunate to have met Frazetta at his home, and had a picture taken which captured the original ROW incidentally ...without realizing a rarely seen gem was shot, . Detailed snapshots of ROW (outside the snippet used for the paperback) are hard to find, except in private circles. I've never had the pleasure to meet Frazetta.
  10. Looks like Meskin with Roussos on assist.
  11. WOW. I've never seen that cover before. ...for good reason. ROW was one of the pieces the Frazettas (namely Ellie) withheld from modern publication. linky Thanks for the link. There's lots of info on that forum that was news to me. Do you know if there are any photos online of Frazetta's painting for The Reign of Wizardry? There are many I'm sure. It was hanging in Frazetta's den.

  13. This one is a toughie. I'm going to guess that the photo is of artist Nina Albright (reading Captain Aero v3#12). Ray Hermann of Orbit/ToyTown (and several dozen names) Publications. Al Feldstein remembers being interviewed by Hermann but was not hired.
  14. It's not slabbed; but here's the link to the auction... http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=406449 Did any board members ever end up winning the Tec #30? Don't ask. Don't tell. I've seen many a coverless copy but that one's a doozy.
  15. What is generally, the FMV for a coverless Tec #27 in this day and age? I believe a couple were sold for around 10K about two or three years ago. Say, aren't you suppose to be inside the Baxter Building? Scoot.
  16. If it goes past 20K, I'd be surprised. My guess is around 18K.
  17. I enjoy your posts, Jim. Please continue to post as much as you like. Thanks. (thumbs u
