  6. Steve Ditko is my favorite artist. His work from the early period of his career for Charlton is, IMO, his best. Take a look at these covers. His first cover, THING #12 THING #13 THING #14 THING #15 THING #17
  7. Not new this week but I just scanned it to photobucket. Here's an Infantno pencil drawing submitted to Applause for approval as the art on a mug they were going to market. It was rejected, so, it's unpublished in any form. After adjustments to the original pencil by Infantino, inks were done by Mike Decarlo and re-submitted to Applause. Again, it was eventually rejected for use. So, once again it is unpublished in any form.
  8. I've had this one for a few years but just scanned the cover. DARING LOVE #1 from 1953. It contains Ditko's first published artwork on a story inside the comic.
  9. You're welcome, adamstrange. I'll have some more to post, once I get around to scanning them.
  10. For those who liked my scan of 2-GUN Western. Here is the cover of BLAZING WESTERN #1. And the Ditko Western story it contains. His first Western story from 1954.
  11. I just saw this thread and thought I'd post these GL covers I scanned for another thread. I sold my Green Lantern run twenty years ago but saved a seperate run of the Neal Adams covers which I also had.
  12. Not in the best condition but I love this Maneely cover! In addition to having stories by Joe Sinnott, John Severin and Gene Colan, this issue has a four pager by Steve Ditko.
  13. Very bizarre Kirby covers! (thumbs u The Black Magic 29 is very cool. Is this an adaptation of a Ray Bradbury story, or did EC do some type of story similar to this? I know I have seen this premise before. Ken No, it's not a Bradbury adaptation. The woman is a disfigured "freak" who wears a full body suit to hide her hideous appearance. Her paramour actually kills her in the story when he stumbles to her secret. Tony D.
  14. Thanks for the kudos. It took quite a few years of looking to find them all in nice condition. All but the #13 were picked up before I had a computer, at conventions I attended Tony D..
  15. These aren't recent purchases, I've had them for a number of years, but I thought I'd post them since their condition is very nice. Ditko covers of Charlton's THE THING [including his first cover ever, #12]
