  1. One of my favorite stories ever. Made me even want to seek out V's 1st app. in a U.K. mag. called Warrior 1. Try to find that one in high grade.
  2. Absolutely direct hit on The Crow 1-4 . What a story!
  3. I know that there are many here that get their books pressed , and many notable board members who do press. I for one do feel that pressing is a form of restoration . Although it pained me I got rid of a Showcase 22 with white pages, because it was pressed. If I want a high grade book , I will seek it out. I will not have a manufactured one. Isn't that part of the fun in collecting, finding those perfect examples in the wild? By the way, when I say pained on that Showcase 22. Guys who have seeked out a Showcase 22 know how hard it is to find them with White pages.
  4. Great books, but that HoS 92 is particularly beautiful. Does that book look as nice in hand as it does in your scan? Do you think it could be above a 9.4 upon submitting to CGC?
  5. I have been collecting for over 40 years now, on the boards for ten years. I consider myself to be a collector first and foremost, but the reality is that there is value to comics. That creates speculators, no matter what the collectible is. Unfortunately I am a run collector mainly, which means I do go after many run fillers. I have many completed runs such as a complete run of ASM from AF 15- ASM 1 to #700 , Silver Surfer 1-18, Vampirella 1-113, and currently working on Creepy and Eerie runs just to name a few. I also have most all keys from Silver, Bronze, Copper and Modern ages. Does that mean I'm a speculator too? I am aware that my books have value, but I also like to read my books too! Does that make me a collector? There is room for both the speculator and collector. Maybe one feeds the other inside us in a cyclical spiral. Also I would like to take this moment and thank all the brilliant board members who have helped me mold my collection to what it is today. You have expanded my awareness of this awesome hobby.
  6. I hated Spider Man Homecoming, and who was this MJ? It isn't the one I remember! Why was Tony Stark in the movie? You might as well call him Iron Spidey. The whole story just laid flat for me. Although Keaton was the only watchable thing about the movie. Johanson was awesome in Lost in Translation, as was Bill Murray.
  7. I think all key picture frame books are under valued. MS 5 for instanse is such a big bronze key( at least to me), and how hard it is to find in high grade with the black spine.
  8. I just wait for a righteous bounty_coder thread, or a deal on deadones hard to ever resist sales thread.
  9. glad you can be a part of this. I am amazed at the generosity of the board members here. You'll never find anything like this anywhere else. I can't believe that I have been a part of this community for nearly ten years, and I have never in my life seen such great comraderie.
  10. Naw, those are great choices. I've only been searching for Warren books for only 3 or 4 years now. So I'm still a noob at this too really.
