  1. More than the classic cover analogy. I wonder why values given to many books are still at the price point of 20 years ago. I agree that there are books that are and should be considered classic covers. Really though we all know which they are without someone telling us , dont we?
  2. Mike you are turning out to be a pretty good asset to the CGC company. I hope they are paying you for all your hard work.
  3. So the dissension down the horror magazine rabbit hole you go.....🤣
  4. Is he a friend of yours? If so I would go to his house with the fixings to make hundreds of tamales and start making them in his kitchen. Tell him that you are finally here to collect.😂🤣
  5. That's much nicer than on top of each other. Bet you found some cracked slabs at the bottom of the pile.
  6. Yeah not a fan of signed slabs. I do have signed books, but they are books I got signed which is a personal experience.
  7. Pressing is a problem for me. If it's a book I've been on the hunt for I would rather buy it raw. Upon inspection I would first check for page count, then spine, edges. Other than tan-brittle page quality on the label means nothing. I'm not a grade chaser, but I do want to get the best grade I can. I relish in trying to find a great book in the wild instead of pressed manufactured books. The person I buy from is very important to me, as I really only have a handful of sellers I buy from. Doing this I never have to worry about some nut sending me a a 5 thousand dollar book in a bubble mailer, or some other stupid thing. I know what my chosen sellers are going to do. Cool topic .

Who the heck cares what Evan McGregor likes or dislikes.😤
  9. Sorry I was just glancing at the book real quick. I would think stains get the 5.0ish area for me. Thank goodness it was a non important issue.
  10. Has there been any further investigation into the elusive Eerie #1 ashcan.
  11. Dang Greggy that is some nice sh*t
  12. That cover totally reminds me of a place I played called Linda's Doll Hut in Anaheim California. The place is so small we had a stage about as big as a bathroom, and the crowd was literally on the stage with us. Pretty famous place though. I mean everyone from Sex Pistols, to the Ramones, to Blondie has played there though.
  13. Congrats on your quest for Warren Horror. I myself have been collecting full runs of Warren mags. Just a great group of runs. I'm very happy you found my "Hardest Creepy thread" informative .
  14. I bought a great horror magazine from the mask. Great book , packaged awesome. Thanks for adding to my collection.
