I already order directly through the IDW site - have a subscription to Keys to the Kingdom and True Blood.

They look like the normal copies to me. I buy from the IDW website and they don't come in any special packaging. UNLESS he is talking about the IDW sticker that they seal the bag with

That is exactly what they were...simply sealed with the IDW sticker instead of tape

I will probably send some of these in for grading as they look to be near perfect.

That's sweet you got issues originally sold from the IDW site... they probably are in really great shape. Keep us updated on that one.

Oooooooo, no scuffing on the #1. Very rare.

 

It doesn't hurt a 9.8 grade, but it is annoying.

Yes, you're right, I do have every single L&K and dups of most BUT I'M A HOARDER!!!!!

Saw those Jerry 9.9s this morning but I'll wait and submit mine. I'm just hoarding the first series right now.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was some original fancy pantsy packaging from ordering from the site.

 

The only unknown variants I know of is the original volume's #4 thinner and slightly different SDCC Slipcase Edition, A creaseless #1 DF variant(Cheryl ), the Head Games printing error #4 SDCC slipcase variant and the blue tinted Crown of Shadows regular reprinting to fill orders of the original lost shipment.

 

I heard there was a DF foil variant of Head Games #1, but it never surfaced. I lie awake at night on my bed watching my fan like Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now, waiting for one to appear.

I just won a lot of Locke & Key books on the Bay, and in the description it had the following:

 

All issues are 1st printings with issue #'s 2 & 3 of the first series being publishers (IDW) copies signified by official IDW seal.

 

Anyone know what a publisher's copy is? I have not been able to find anything about it online anywhere...made up fairytale maybe?
