Is CGC trying to lose their dealers as well?
I like pie replied to Iceman399's topic in Comics General
One of many reasons competition is good for the hobby. Right now, there is no viable company on the same level as CGC. Voldy was close but too unstable, over the years. I don't see them ever getting over that stigma. CGC can do pretty much whatever they want and you can go pound sand if you don't like it. This isn't going to hurt dealers. It will just get passed along to collectors. Someday, when there is a grading company on the same level, I believe we'll see CGC go downhill fast. Their business practices over that past few years does not breed loyalty. -

Thanks! I only own a few pieces so far, so I am having a lot of fun with this one. I'm most excited about the Rebels PF. That looks amazing!

I have enjoyed it so far but it's definitely a slow burn. I'm sure it will pay off but I can understand the criticism with all the flashbacks. Especially if you're impatient. I did think the wookie looked silly

Are Newton Rings 'normal and acceptable'?
I like pie replied to Get Marwood & I's topic in Comics General
Yes. Email submissions@cgccomics.com with pictures and how many slabs, and they should cover shipping there and reholdering at no charge. -

Wachowskis' THE MATRIX 4 starring Keanu Reeves (5/21/21)
I like pie replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
Off topic, but I was just watching Ghostbusters:Afterlife. I'm 5 minutes in and it's, without question, the best movie ever made.- 461 replies

100%. I don't care who you are. Once you say you turned something off after 5 minutes, no one cares what your opinion is.- 461 replies

Same. The census numbers look ridiculous. This has to be a joke...

Where in the world was the Quality Control at CGC???
I like pie replied to Wally's Comics's topic in Comics General
Of course they need a picture. They weren't trying to insinuate anything. In fact, why wouldn't you just send a picture with your initial email? -
I have never received them without a slight bend. Easy to adjust though.

I'm in the minority, it seems but I enjoyed it. There was a lot of homages to the game. Not a fan of how they handled Leon but that's my only complaint.

Wachowskis' THE MATRIX 4 starring Keanu Reeves (5/21/21)
I like pie replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
More people liked it than not. Some people are just too tied to the original, it's hard to open up to something different.- 461 replies

Maybe on the forums but not in general. It's divisive amongst fans and critics alike but nothing like TLJ. If you went into expecting it to be as good as the first one, I can understand the disappointment. It was a fun movie for what it was.- 461 replies

Thanks for the help guys. I looks like mine just has the wrong date printed on the label but the description is correct. I also just picked this up. It's labeled as a first print but am pretty sure this is the third. CGC has a rough time with this book.

BEWARE Unknown Comics - TERRIBLE Customer Service!
I like pie replied to Matt1982's topic in Comics General
Darren is in the wrong business. He should have stuck with garbage trucks. I used to buy wholesale from him for years. I had a problem with an order for my personal collection. Just a few graded books. Ended up taking 11 months(2018) and I eventually asked to cancel. It was 7 months past the original eta. He said FU, so I simply stopped giving him any money. Stay away from Unknown. Everything will be great until something goes wrong and you will get no help from them. -
MOST VALUABLE MODERN VARIANTS - THE RANKINGS
I like pie replied to Jaydogrules's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
The list obviously needs to be updated. Clone Wars #1 SE would be in there. -
I hope this becomes the new standard in animation. I wonder how much longer it takes to pull off this quality vs a standard animated show.

Season 2 was a step back, for me. Paced much slower. Feels like they tried to pack all the excitement in the last episode.

Spider-Man: No Way Home SPOILERS WELCOMED thread
I like pie replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
I don't follow. If they could make everyone forget Peter was Spider-Man, it would be the same as making everyone forget Mysterio said it, including JJ. -
Spider-Man: No Way Home SPOILERS WELCOMED thread
I like pie replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
I think as the multiverse stories unfold, we're going to have to expand our suspension of disbelief. There are just so many possibilities. With your question, I don't think it would be so much of a coincidence if you consider there are an infinite amount of universes.
