  1. Well, that was fast. GPA already removed the last sale.
  2. I just noticed someone selling a raw book in the modern forums for an unusually high price. A Superman/Batman 8 Cover C for $145. Typically this book is around $175 graded at 9.8. The last recorded GPA sale is for $325 BUT that ebay listing was for two copies. Does that normally happen with multiple quantity listings?
  3. This one is a first print. I would assume the later printings are stated on the label but I haven't seen one.
  4. I would for sure be interested. The biggest reason I haven't found one yet is finding a nice wrap. All my other books in the run are centered perfectly, so that has slowed me down. As far as the fluctuation, I've seen it go a couple hundred +/- but nothing like the past few months. It's almost doubled.
  5. If anyone checks out the WTB threads, you probably know I've been hunting this book in a 9.8 for awhile now. It's the last one I need to complete my McFarlane run. Since October 2017 until May 2018, it's been a $800-900 book. Now it's up to $1400-$1900. There aren't a lot graded in 9.8 or 9.6, relative to the previous 3 high profile books. I think my best case now is to hope the price influx gets more subs in and the market gets flooded 6 months from now. My question though, besides the Venom movie buzz(which isn't very relevant to this issue), what else would be spiking the current price?
  6. I was thinking maybe Thanos was part of the 50% that vanished. He did mention earlier in the film how it was to be random.
  7. I just picked up my favorite artist variant(Anacleto). Wish this variant $%#& would stop. Like 5 max per issue would suffice. I actually didn't mind the interior art. The story was a bit bland but I'll give it a few more.
  8. They agreed to reholder this one at no charge today. The one they refused to had slightly less newton effect but fingerprints all over the inner well combined, made it appear worse. Guess it just depends who you speak to over there.
  9. Really curious on the opinion of the 11% who voted this doesn't bother them.
  10. Finally got it. On a positive note, no Newton Rings on these
  11. Day three follow up. It was on the truck for delivery all day and the status just changed to: Now I have to pick it up at the fed ex shipping center tonight because I'm not off again until next Monday.
  12. Normally I would agree but CGC didn't inform their customers of this change. Even if they did, it's not reasonable to assume a typical homeowner is going to be there when fed ex is every time. I can't accept packages where I work. It's an inconvenience to me to set up another permanent shipping address because sometimes it works out I am home but now I have to go out of my way to get a package? Being able to select when I need to reroute the delivery or keep it set to my house should be the customer's option.
  13. I'm on my second day staying at home waiting for Fed Ex. There's a stripper out there somewhere that won't make it through college now.
  14. People buying books they didn't originally submit are pretty much out of luck as well: "Any issues or damage would have to be reported within two weeks of the received date..."
  15. Great points. I'd have to think if there was more solid competition, this would already be resolved. I'd be happy to pay to reholder my books if they fix the problem that's satisfactory to their customers. To the standards the previous generations slabs all had. I'm getting really tired of hearing what's acceptable to CGC.
  16. I just received a book with a good amount of newton rings and multiple finger prints on inner well. I requested a no charge re-holder and was quickly denied
  17. Twice apparently or he is going to the wrong address. Obviously no fault by CGC but I could just reroute to pick up if there wasn't a restriction.
  18. To follow up, I was still out of town on Friday on the first delivery attempt. When I got back Saturday there wasn't a fed ex slip, which I thought was odd, but the next delivery attempt was set for today and I could be home to get it. I'm outside working on my car and see a fed ex truck drive right by. I look at the tracking info and it says they attempted to delivery today and no one was here. I call Fed Ex to see if they can send the driver back. Maybe he was going to the wrong address. They say he came and no answer and a second notice was left and it will be shipped back to CGC if a third attempt doesn't work. I ask if I can have it held at the local fed ex kinkos for pick up and, of course, they say CGC set restrictions for that. They are attempting to contact the driver to send him back today. Now I have to stay here the rest of the day in case he comes back. What a mess.
  19. I don't recall seeing anything official yet stating they are working on an improvement.
