so then I resubmit the 10 books that got rejected off a 9.4 pre screen from these two batches, all of which had been through CCS via CGC and never touched in transition once they got back to me. I literally immediately placed them in a box again and sent back to CGC in the same bag and boards CGC sent them back to me in and one of the books gets a 7.0 and grader notes says light fingerprints on the cover, There is no other explanation than this place just plain sucks and has absolutely zero quality control. An utter and total waste of my time and money,

aaaaaaaand the slabs arrived without the Custom labels. Which I specifically listed. and paid for. Why is this place so gd bad at quality control?

SHIPPED. Expecting receipt next week. 4 Rejects and nine 9.4s / 9.6s. (I check online, dont care for unboxing surprises). Will prob re-submit rejects from these batches as I probably set the pre screen too high. So all in from my shipment in Jan to likely receipt of both batches, 7 months all in. Now moved to GRADING/QUALITY CONTROL. I can almost taste it now.

Today the batch moved to Grading/Encapsulation. Yay.

Second batch out of CCS in Process and into Scheduled for Grading.

That batch changed to shipped. Must be my lucky day. Six rejects though. No 9.8s, couple of 9.6s though. Five months total for that batch. All things considered not too bad. Still have another batch from same Jan delivery stuck in CCS though.

That one batch switched to Grading/Encapsulation. Movement.

This week, one batch changed to Scheduled for Grading. The other still CCS in Process.

Still unclear why the market values Newstand versions more. I purchased all my Moderns originally from what was in no way an LCS but was rather a newstand/candy store that also sold comics, among other things, yet turns out they are Direct editions. Guess the guy who owned it bought directs. Is the idea that “Newstand” versions are rarer based on volume of publication or exposure to the actual street?

9.4 if current resale value is roughly $150 and above at that grade. Even if $100 considering the ridiculous turnaround times

This week my boys went from “Received at CCS” to “CCS In Process”, appr. 100 days (Earth days, not CGC days) after actual warehouse receipt by CGC. I’ll force myself to take that as a good sign.

By my calc, given current listed turnaround times, my books should be expected around December 2022, just shy of a full year after submission (Modern, 25+, pre-screen. CCS, fast track).

Hi. I dont have the Submission # because it disappeared from your system. The Order # is Order #: xxxxxxx. This submission was delivered to CGC on 1-24-22 and signed for by xxxxxxx. This submission showed up in your system roughly two to three weeks later and was shown as held at CCS since then. This morning, 3-5-22, it simply disappeared from your system, neither being shown as submitted or received by CGC or shown as being held at CCS. I check the submission every day so this is how I know. Please advise what happened here. Many thanks, ETA: Submission back online. I should stop checking so often!

My submission, delivered to their facility on 1-24, was acknowledged in their tracking system two weeks later as being with CCS and remained as such until this morning when it simply vanished from their system. *poof* Now it is neither acknowledged as received nor as submitted.

Today went into my account and submission vanished, was there yesterday. listed as being with CCS. today gone, and also not showing receipt either, as if someone deleted it.

Week 3. Last night I watch yet another Korean zombie flick on NFLX. I couldn’t help but wonder how my ## books are doing at CCS. Are they being fed properly? Looked after? I miss them. Counting the years until we’re reunited.

I just dropped my car off a the dealership for an oil change and scheduled maintenance. They said I should get it back sometime in August. In bizarro world.

Honest question, I turned off the auto renew for CGC membership. If membership lapses and books still at CGC will they actually send them back?
