So posting a link to Sam Kieth's blog where he personally states the art he posted showing The Maxx's 1st appearance in Darker Image 1 didn't do it for you? You're right. I can't wait for RMA to get back here and set Kieth straight. Now we just need CGC to start recognizing Darker Image #1 as The Maxx's 1st appearance and add to the labels going forward!!

If you look at the top of the page under "Issue Notes," it mentions a Rocketeer card being included with the book. It doesn't state who did the artwork. Just got a copy of Cheval Noir #17 in. Thought I'd share some of the pics of the book/card for reference... Front of card Back of card

Someone needs to ask Sam Kieth which book he drew first...

OK, couldn't find anything on the subject in the search. What is the 1st appearance of The Maxx...and not Max the Hare in Primer #5. Sure, Sam Kieth's character but a completely different character. I Before E #2 (1992) - did he appear in this one? Darker Image #1 (3/1993) The Maxx #1 (3/1993) CGC doesn't recognize the first appearance and I've always wondered why.

Wow, that GL 16 got hammered! There probably isn't another CGC 6.0 out there that looks this good...of any book! Very nice

John Malkovich Seriously, the little door leads to a tear in the time/space continum that takes me back to the store room of a little Five & Dime during the summer of 1939...pretty handy little wormhole...that or additional storage...
