  1. I agree. Credit should be given in the cases where the artists are known. They should also show a reproduction of the original panel. Even if Roy is a great artist, it's appropriate to show his muse.
  2. This piece as been on the wall at my LCS - Bedrock City in Houston - for some time; it belonged to a local collector who passed away. Today, was their spring sale with 25% off and some other considerations, it was too much of a bargain to pass up - Grell Pen & Ink beautifully matted and framed - for next to nothing. Though Mike as done lots of other stuff that I've enjoyed, e.g., Sable and Green Arrow, it's his Legion and Warlord work that made the biggest impression. Now, I have examples of both: The Warlord and Tara The Legion of Super-Heroes vs. Mordru Enjoy them. I will. For those that can't stand links, here's the new one:
  3. I gotta get me a CPW3 before he gets too popular. (Note to self: May be too late.)
  4. I can't remember if I posted this. It's the big catch from the Boston Comic Con. If I did, oh well, there are worse things to look at. Curt Swan's Star Boy Murder Flashback I also got a few other pieces recently. For the link averse:
  5. I have had good experiences with Joe. I bought a Colon/Rubinstein collaboration from him and a Netzer/Rubinstein. Both took time (too much, but not awful) and follow-up, but he did deliver and he didn't vanish. In one case, he provided an extra because of the delay. That of course does not excuse Rob's or Romain's experience. I'm just trying to point out that you should not give up hope. Keep on him. I also know that he's made an effort to clean up his act, but it's very likely that he missed some people. Joe needs an assistant to keep him organized at the least. Amethyst - Colon / Rubinstein - http://cafurl.com?i=16982 and http://cafurl.com?i=16992 Legion - Netzer / Rubinstein - http://cafurl.com?i=16671
  6. I haven't had much trouble finding things. The Resources tab and the search box have worked well for me. What are you trying to do/find? I do wish I could filter on the searches with things like "(Legion, LSH)" to do an OR or "-swan" to exclude and artist.
  7. I posted my adventures this weekend in Boston on another thread, but thought I'd link to the art here, too. Katie Cook - Her work makes me smile The LSH Founders Harry Potter and his Patronus Daniel Hdr and Bob Wiacek (pencil page and matching blue line inked page) Legion of Super-Heroes (2012) issue 8 Curt Swan - I'm really happy with this! Legion of Super-Heroes For those that don't like links, here you go, but really press the link and give the CAF some hits, Bill needs the money.
  8. I had to wait until Tuesday, April 9th, but I finally got my copy with my MJ head sketch. If you are interested, you can see her on this link and why I'm so glad to get it (non-Spidey fan that I am). Also, clicking supports the CAF so do that if you aren't interested in the sketch. For those hate links and don't want to support the CAF, here's the image:
  9. True, but it is a place to start. Particularly, if the penciller and inker worked together for a time.
  10. Joe's on Facebook and fairly chatty. You could ask him. https://www.facebook.com/jstatonenator
  11. Make sure you use acid free materials and UV resistent glass/plastic. You might also check this thread: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2154883#Post2154883
  12. Terrific pages! Infantino's layouts and style (his women are underappreciated) with really moody inks by Nino. Great find.
  13. Based on the size of these books and their popularity these books this guy needs a raise.
  14. It's amazing that you've found as much as your have Terry. Congrats.
  15. I will admit to weakness. I bought one within moments of Scott's note on comicart-l while in a meeting that I was running. I'm not a huge Spider-man fan; I thought a guy as handsome as JR's PP, with brains to rival anyone in the Marvel Universe, and two hot girlfriends had too many blessings to complain all the time. So, I didn't buy the first one though I have the others. That hurt my collecting gene and I do admire JR's work, but I could handle it. After all, I had Dave Stevens, Walt Simonson, and Wally Wood to comfort me. Until, IDW (curse them!) came out with this edition. Sigh... Now, for Barry Smith's Red Nails!
  16. That was fast. The plain/unremarqued one is still available though: https://shop.idwpublishing.com/john-romita-spider-man-artist-edition.html
  17. Scott wrote that the default is Spider-man and that there are very limited numbers of others (5-10?). You have to write them and ask. You can't specify it on the order form (unless I missed it). The images that JR drew (wish I new how to scale them down a bit): Spider-man Green Goblin Mary Jane Punisher Rhino
  18. A nobody and that is worthless. Send it to me for proper disposal.
