If I wasnt told the case looked like krap I would likely send the book back,a dn not ask for reholder fees. But I would be peeved that for $150-200.00 asking price that wasnt in the description..

Scott I am sorry to hear about your friend. And I feel for his family. It was sad just to read this.. You are right it is amazing how wrapped up we all get in small matters. That is my favorite McFarlane cover. Very plain, yet bold. And near impossible to find in 9.8. Whoever buys this book really IS getting a good deal!

If by "touched $2100" you mean "sold for $1600 or less", then, yes, you are correct. That book in that grade has had exactly one sale above $2000 in the last 7 years (according to GPA) - out of 100s of total sales. The seller is smoking crack if he thinks he'll get $2100 for it here. My bad; I did a quick ended items search on eBay. There are two sellers who are "trying" to get $2k for the book. I didn't realize that they didn't actually sell for that. I'm not trying to defend the seller's asking price, just assumed there was a good reason for the price. I guess I was mistaken. I wonder if that book is one

I feel bad for Zach. He is a friend of Macmans and not a shill by far. Just doesnt know how to post. I will not say that he shouldnt have read the rules first, or asked for help. But hes getting quite the thrashing.

I generally just deal with people I see do constant busines with people I know who can grade. Aside from that I ask questions, but alot of people just pop the takeit as soon as a book arrives. I can see this for certain sellers but someone who is relatively fresh? And read back 3 pages. The new guys dont get it. They just keep bumping until they get started on a new thread. There are a few guys I have watched do this and havent ever seem to have sold anything.

I wouldnt bother trying to build the run. It would take much more time then most any other DC title. I still havent seen many covers.

I can usually pick out 1-2 books per page lately. But other people seem to be happy.
