  1. You better get used to being tired. But it's a good tired...congrats Pat I ahve adjusted to I sleep when he does. The wife is a different story altogether. Shes in rough shape.
  2. You better get used to being tired. But it's a good tired...congrats Pat have you posted the pictures yet Pat? Not yet. I have been a bit busy.
  3. "Again, why so serious? " Im not... I just couldnt figure out which graemlin to use.
  4. I have to agree, but you still see endless noise in the threads. Pat does have a point that a little banter is good and does help a thread but the inane graemlin post after graemlin post, after gaemlin post after graemlin post does nothing but pad individuals post count that ordinarily have nothing substantial to add. Some have always added to society and then there are the select few that do nothing but suck it dry without ever giving anything back. My posts are less graemlin filled lately, but I still dont get involved with all the arguments you guys contribute to. I still refuse to insult other people by calling them names and so on. You two absolutely amaze me sometimes with your short tempers, completely predictable. First you get upset, then get insulting, then start calling people "D" bags. I get it, you guys dont like me. Woop tee doo. This has absolutely nothing to do with like or dislike. I have very good friends on the boards who I think post way too many graemlins and I have expressed that to them. My last statement (not really directed to anyone in general) reflects how I personally feel, I say things with no malice attached, but I do speak my mind. then why bring it into the conversation like you are implying its me? Talk about taking things too seriously it appears by other posts that I wasn't the only one who thought you were talking about Nelson and I. I don't even have Nelson on ignore, why would I bash him. Because your avatar carries a club I'm beginning to have a pretty good idea of who the next member I put on ignore is Its up to you dude. (thumbs u
  5. Yeah, but not 5 pages worth. But it is usually multiple people. But I agree, sometimes I will just quit browsing a thread because it is too cluttered. But pointing fingers isnt right either. There are many, many people who post graemlins constantly. No point in calling out, or holding grudges... I have been trying the forgive and forget thing. It's new for me personally, as one of my favorite sayings were "I dont forgive, and I dont forget". But honestly, its just not worth it for me to hold grudges. I have no beef with anyone, and enjoy them much more. And if somebody does not like me, thats on them. But on my end, it's all good. For good measure greggy is the gremlin king and he is like a ing god around here...there is a definite double-standard! Reminds me of, for some, the definition of an alcoholic..."someone who drinks just as much as me whom I don't like..." What

  7. And you sir are another one! Grinder is a good guy for sure, he was making pointless posts for eons. But he does contribute, and he is very active in more OT discussions. Which is fine by me. I am even sick of talking about AF15, pressing, and Ewert.

  9. Yuch. When I buy a book and don't get a few 'nice pick up' comments I figure I got robbed. The graemlins and the kudos in sales threads are fine with me. There are times when it becomes too much, and I have been guilty of this myself. But if you carry with extremes, I would much rather having people post graemlins or talk about sweet books then have silence. When your sales threads are silent, it just makes for a boring time. When there is action and life, a good time is had. CD4ever sales threads are the final say IMO. And now that I have the baby and cant sleep at 2A.M. I can start checking them out while they are happening instead of the next day. Its like hearing about a party vs. going to it.
  10. That would be me. He 'bought' an FF #32...$175, if I remember correctly...but delayed and delayed on payment. He was always going to 'add another book or two', but never did (thankfully, in retrospect). I sent a final few PMs, asking for the deal to be completed, but he never responded, and so after six months, I sold the book to somebody else. Since his 'return to active duty', he hasn't even had the good manners to PM me and apologise. I have no problem with people dealing with him if they want, but I will not be recommending his removal. The list is a 'tread carefully' warning, and it's entirely appropriate that his name is included. (thumbs u OK...completely understandable and Thanks Nick...completely respect your position...always sorry to hear such a scenario... There isn't a book I want bad enough that will tempt me to buy from someone on the probation list who isn't at least trying to address why he is there. Same goes for selling. Not only hasn't Clobberintime attempted to contact FT he also was quite rude when someone pointed out that he was on the probation list. That would be me. And anyone who browses through here KNOWS I have been trying to get a nice Hulk 144. But I will not deal with anyone on the list either. Straighten out yer and we can talk. But until then, I honor the list, and the work put into making this plce safer and friendlier.
  11. I think this is a really good idea. But I think it should be slightly more intricate, but kept as simple as possible. Maybe if we had offense as a B=Buyer, S=Seller. Which would label if they didnt send books, or failed to complete a transaction. And either the name of the person who requested, or if multiple people a brief description (less then 2 sentences for serious offenders)? But I agree this would be extremely helpful.
  12. The list grows.. I am shocked Mjacobs though, guy always seemed super solid. I hope he is alright.
  13. The Tec' I really have no interest in pre bats Detectives. But Jimmy Olsen? Lord no!
  14. Green Lantern. I like the All Select, but have much more love for GA DC. Plus I will slowly be chipping at the GL run after my All-Flash. Plus a gorgeous blue label church copy/ Sign me up!
  15. Batman. One of my all-time favorite covers. And I collect Joker covers.
  16. Again I go against the grain. Well maybe not again. But I would go with Showcase 4. And here is why. While Captain America is THE Marvel comics chracter of the GA. I would say the book lacks to me the historic value. I would take the Showcase for the first Barry Allen, and the revival of the Superhero. I also find those old DC's to be very tough in those grades, and believe the book may still rise in value. While Cap is GREAT and I would love to own that book, I would have to go with The Flash! If my choice was between Cap 1 and Flash 1 I would go Cap..
  17. Nice Copy Count! I would like to grab one of these eventually
  18. This is tough. I am a Batman fan through and through, but would probably go with the Action 1. My primary reason collecting GA is the history of comics. Hence me collecting through ALL the ages (superhero only). So while Bats is cooler, and would be a beautiful crown jewel to my collection. I would say the Action 1 for historic importance, and my love and respect for the medium. First appearance of a Major GA character I love would be great. But to have the first "superhero" comic outweighs it for me. Action 1!
  19. Im trying. This and my Detective run really suck the wallet dry! I have a good offer on another one, so a new All-Flash will be coming. After that there is a certain board member who has a few GA Tec's I would love to purchase.. (thumbs u
  20. Working at it.... And I have received a few PM's so more should be on the way! But I expect another few years for this quest (thumbs u
