  1. So I made these 2 general posts on Monday night: I paid through PayPal and got a shipping notice through them. I also paid through Paypal (on June 27th) and have received no notice of a shipment. All I was stating was that I also paid through Paypal but had not received a shipping notice yet. That's when Lockord88 posted this: I paid through PayPal and got a shipping notice through them. I also paid through Paypal (on June 27th) and have received no notice of a shipment. ....... iv'e answered this literally 20 times here already. we are shipping in the order received. we only started shipping on wednesday the 30th as books were delayed by marvel. we are going as fast as we possibly can. we are not midtown comics with a warehouse and a staff of 50. this is a 2 man operation. i have 9 weeks worth of pre orders to ship out. a massive ton of orders. you will get it. if you are unhappy with this we will be more than happy to refund you and cancel the order. sorry but im seriously tired of this. no other retailer has bent over backwards to accommodate, discount, and keep people in the loop on this board as much as we have here and yet i still get nasty emails, phone calls, and comments.....you will get a notice upon shipping. with tracking. it will get to you. we are on the tail end of shipping orders from june 27th right now. i think only about 9 remain before getting to the 28th...the next several days are super heavy on orders as we had just added the reverse i believe. it will get there. we aren't stealing your money. we aren't sitting on our asses not shipping. we are working our asses off to get these things out as soon as possible along with running our fully functioning comic shop. we are packing extremely well in heavy boxes to ensure safe delivery. please...please...be patient. thanks. At this point I'm thinking "Why the hell are you yelling at me? All I stated was that I hadn't received a shipping notice yet." At this point I should have just shut up and waited for the book. But I got pissed off and responded this way: I paid through PayPal and got a shipping notice through them. I also paid through Paypal (on June 27th) and have received no notice of a shipment. ....... iv'e answered this literally 20 times here already. we are shipping in the order received. we only started shipping on wednesday the 30th as books were delayed by marvel. we are going as fast as we possibly can. we are not midtown comics with a warehouse and a staff of 50. this is a 2 man operation. i have 9 weeks worth of pre orders to ship out. a massive ton of orders. you will get it. if you are unhappy with this we will be more than happy to refund you and cancel the order. sorry but im seriously tired of this. no other retailer has bent over backwards to accommodate, discount, and keep people in the loop on this board as much as we have here and yet i still get nasty emails, phone calls, and comments.....you will get a notice upon shipping. with tracking. it will get to you. we are on the tail end of shipping orders from june 27th right now. i think only about 9 remain before getting to the 28th...the next several days are super heavy on orders as we had just added the reverse i believe. it will get there. we aren't stealing your money. we aren't sitting on our asses not shipping. we are working our asses off to get these things out as soon as possible along with running our fully functioning comic shop. we are packing extremely well in heavy boxes to ensure safe delivery. please...please...be patient. thanks. Was I complaining about not getting my book yet? NO Was I simply stating that I had not received a notice of shipment yet? YES Do I still want the book I ordered? YES Will I ever order from you again? HELL NO Why? Because you just went on a f**king rant when you didn't need to. I was simply stating I hadn't received a notice of shipment yet. YOU took it as if I was complaining about not having my book yet. So I am not completely blameless as I guess I should have listened to one more of his rants and waited for the book. That being said, the bottom line is he cancelled the order only because I returned his fire. I guess he can dish it out but can't take it. Oh, and here's the last of "several" (what are we up to now, 2?) e-mails I sent to him late Monday night: "I wasn't complaining...honestly. I was merely asking a simple question that you could have answered much more simply. Something like "We're just now getting to your order and it will go out in the next day or two". I would have been fine with that. I just thought it would have shipped by now considering you guys started shipping last Wednesday. You're reading too much into my words. I guess a bunch of other people have pissed you off and now it seems you're taking it out on me. I did apologize to you after the first e-mail and explained how I had screwed up when I was reading the old e-mails. Apparently, that's not good enough for you. Mike" At this point I know I'm not going to get the book from Lockford88. And now that everything is in front of you guys (except for our phone conversation), you can see what transpired. The whole situation could have been avoided if cooler heads had prevailed....but they didn't. So it is what it is. What it boils down to is I paid for a comic and the seller cancelled the sale when he shouldn't have. So I'm still going to nominate Lockford88 for the Probation List. Is this the same conquest comics from NJ?
  2. 1. Time Stamp should get the book. That is how it has been for YEARS, and there is no questioning that. 2. Dan and Transplant had a deal, and Transplant was boarding a plane. Dan could have posted the sold via PM, and asked Transplant to post later to prove the sale occurred. Personally, another member I am not going to deal with. Finds himself in drama over his gambles with resubs, edits rules in his sales threads for his own benefit. Just not the kind of person I want to deal with.
  3. If this rule was so iron-clad, so impenetrable, so incontrovertible, that the seller was powerless, helpless, and neutered against it's omnipotent majesty, then why cut a deal by PM at all? I mean, it's HIS rule, he can't follow HIS OWN RULE enough to not form a contract to sell via PM? If this rule was so important and so all powerful then why not say "That's great Mike, but you've got to in the thread or there's no deal." Sounds like there are two innocent parties in this whole thing, Roulette and Transplant. This!
  4. This! Dan is always in some drama krap. His last fit over his crack, and resub showed this.
  5. And my comment of crying in the sales forum was directed towards what is being done here, or these individuals. But a comment of the sales threads that get ugly as a result of members not working things out in private.
  6. You seem a really genuine , nice guy with no ego to rub, or attention seeking attributes, so I feel I can say this, and you will take it the right way. Committee's? Line decisions? 99.9% of sales pass of without incident. Piling more and more rules on top of rules - decided by people who just have to be on the 'top-table committee' just complicates things. This last scenario came about because the guy was steaming drunk when he sold his book well below the perceived market value. He was happy with the price, and went through with the deal. This seems to be more about the one's that didn't post the unconditional before the one stating "pending scans". People have been posting the 'pending' option pretty much everytime someone posts and can't put pics up for a few hours - and always because the book is cheap. We don't need any more rules, and we certainly don't need an unelected committee to decide what is best for everyone else. Besides, if I'm being brutally honest, the 'invite by PM' forum has a sales market which will grow quite quickly as more and more boardies head over there. Plus Mr Borocks, if he decides to have one on his. Why can't it just be left as is, and deal with any individual problems that may occur. As usual, neither buyer or seller of the book in question is on this thread complaining about anything, so why does anyone else have to be involved? Like I said Jay, you seem a really nice guy, and this isn't aimed at you in any way, but if it ain't really broke, do we need unelected committee's to fix imaginary breakages? It might be because some seller's can't be trusted to not exploit any tiny crack or gap in the current structure and, while dealing with problems that pop up going forward may deal with the problem in an ongoing basis, it does nothing to prevent the exploitation of those gaps by sellers who know exactly what they are doing and will game those rules to their advantage. They are counting on those gaps and that forward looking enforcement to not be able to prevent them from perpetuating their current actions. If every boardie could be trusted to do the right thing and not game the loop holes to their own advantage (and another boardie's disadvantage) rules wouldn't be necessary. It's obvious every boardie can't be trusted. You can trust me.
  7. No one should be forced into purchasing publicly, but if the seller for whatever reason states it as one of his terms, I don't think there's a problem with asking for it. If they lose sales as a result, that's the seller's problem. But yes I'm pro 'unconditional' and pro 'timestamp' and also pro 'write your own dam rules and make them clear and tailor them to your own preferences as a seller' This is also true, though I have never seen it.
  8. Really the only rules that should be put into play here are these two basic rules... the 30 day rule to complete transactions and the rule of not screwing over your fellow boardies. I believe in a three page rule book. Front cover, one page, back cover. Technically that's a one page rule book Simple and direct to the point no? I agree with this. The sales forum does not need more mud.
  9. You guys need help. Every seller does things differently. It is at the sellers discretion to make his rules, his way. I have NEVER EVER EVER seen as much crying in the FS forum, as I have the last year. gets the book, pending scan should ONLY be acceptable if the seller states that in HIS terms. Otherwise unconditional should get the book. As far as in the thread or PM? Unconditional gets the book, time stamp should decide. People have a right to their privacy, respect that. Nobody should be forced into purchasing publicly.
  10. Just received a book from David. Wonderful guy to do business with, and one of the absolute best members this forum has. Thank you again!
  11. Pretty much as you are filling out the form
  12. No it won't. CGC no longer has a choice but to speed up the process. Brand X is moving good TAT.
  13. I agree, he can rot. +1 Agreed. This person has absolutely no character, honesty, or remorse. To the cornfield with him. ......along with the other Koreans One of my best friends is a 6'-3" Korean, one of the most even tempered people on earth. Every other Korean I have met has been half Irish. That I havent pieced together.
  14. This does not make sense. I understand if people want Symbiotic out of the boards for the time being, but to say one "cant undo" whatever bad thing has done in the past is utterly wrong, and somewhat diabolic. Would you apply this across the board for everyone? Sadly many boardies do.... When I made my stupid eBay mistake, there were people saying "I'll never do business w/him." Which ultimately is fine but to take such an extreme is sad. I don't even remember what you did on eBay. But I didn't like how you treated me as a return customer. So if it makes you happy I try and be polite and friendly with you still, but I don't really think you care.
  15. Mark, Invoice me whenever you get a chance. Thanks!
  16. Completed a deal on an FF1 with Leonard and it was smooth as could be with. Hope to do more business in the future!
