  1. The original was so much better, and more terrifying (without needing to show all the gore which was left to the imagination). Another unnecessary re-make IMO.
  2. Good memory @VintageComics. I was 30 minutes late pulling the trigger on the All-New cover, but I know who bought it and get to see it regularly
  3. I cannot emphasize strongly enough in words how bad this movie was. They have completely eradicated everything that I loved about transformers from my childhood. May God have mercy on Michael Bay's soul.
  4. With 20 days to go, the current bid on this book is impressive: http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?referral=EAlist&id=713953&title=AMAZINGMAN COMICS
  5. My three copies of Amazing Man 22 and my two copies of Headline 11.
  6. I believe a few years ago a decision was made at CGC that any new ashcans submitted for grading would receive the NG designation due to an inability to fully authenticate them.
  7. Let the fake trailers begin! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=375454099506201&id=375450312839913
  8. Looking forward to the event. The South Florida Contingent of individual_without_enough_empathy Comic Book Collectors (the "TSFCOACBC") will be there in full force and effect.
  9. Yessir, box is original and unrestored. Spaceship pics are posted above.
  10. Do yourselves a solid and watch the documentary: Jodorowsky's Dune. Considered to be the greatest movie never made. You're welcome.
  11. Interesting that during the scroll for ANH they reference the fact that the rebels are coming off their first victory against the Empire. I guess they were referring solely to the fact Leia escaped with the plans. Other than that, there was no rebel victory... thank you Vader!
  12. That's an interesting perspective. I felt just the opposite about a few things. I thought the lack of scrolling credits and change to theme music were a pleasant surprise that added to the fact this was a stand-alone movie in the expanded universe. I was also really impressed with the way they dumbed-down certain effects to keep it in line with ANH, but yet still managed to make the movie visually stunning.
  13. I just left an advanced screening. Absolutely epic and nostalgic. It was everything TFA was not.
  14. I thought the Maeve reveal about her re-programming was the best part of the episode. I believe her decision to remain was all part of the program.
  15. Randy, best of luck to you and Doug with the new venture. Looking forward to the January auction and I'm thrilled there's another auction house player in town for OA.
  16. I was not expecting it. So that was a cool surprise! I really thought she was just going to take him out versus negotiating with the supervisor. So to see she kept him alive made her more human than those treating the androids as amusement park attractions. The Easter Egg wasn't just Yul Brenner. If you listen closely during that scene, the music in the background is the same shrieking sounds from the original movie when Yul is chasing Richard Benjamin.
  17. The preview for Logan was absolutely riveting. The Johnny Cash rendition of "Hurt" was perfect.
  18. What a great movie. Completely different from any other Marvel movie - or any other movie for that matter. I thoroughly enjoyed this flick. Marvel has the secret sauce.
